Although players from different regions are mixed up in the same time, the supporters are becoming blind after their respective city and/or regions - isn't it so? If yeas, then is it welcome?

  1. its good

  2. It is not like that only name of major eight cities of India

are used for identity's of team no regionalism etc

  3. Reasonable question, but then since the team has individuals from different regions already, people should learn to appreciate the opponent teams. If Uthappa can play for Mumbai against Bangalore, Agarkar play for Kolkata against Mumbai. People should learn to see beyond these. The so called problems and issues of regionalism I feel are moves taken by certain people to get publicity for themselves at the cost of the commoners' lives. So enjoy the game while it takes place and appreciate it: be it your own team or the opponent :)

  4. Good question and yes it may cause trouble

  5. It is certainly better for both the spectators and players.  There are no boundry walls anymore.  It is not really regional.

  6. good question....never thought of it...there are certain species on earth who can turn things worse because of this.....

  7. regionalism ceases in IPL.

Like I do not know whom to cheer. we are all Indians and we have our Players in all teams along with Foreign. Do not know where regionalism comes in.

  8. there's no region involved. everyteam is having players from other region/countries. for our convenience instead of giving some name to the teams we have given name based on 8 great cities in India.
