  1. From working in food services for years, the citrus isn't always washed.  It may get a quick dip in the sink, but it's not rubbed down to remove and debris.  You get what you get.  And don't think the food you get hasn't been either dropped or poked by someones dirty fingers

  2. no, i know for a fact.

  3. IT DEPENDS WHERE YOU GO. A BIG CHAIN OF RESTAURANTS, NOT EVEN, A RESTAURANT IN A SMALL TOWN. YES. (OR THAT IS HOW IT IS AT THE RESTAURANT I WORK AT)

  4. I don't know. However, I don't think the problem is washing the lemons and limes, I think the problem is washing the cutting boards that they use to slice the lemons. Which according to a recent news story, a lot of restaurants tend to miss resulting in e.coli and salmonella poisoning.

  5. I doubt it

  6. sometimes they do but very often it doesnt happen usually servers are in charge of cuuting those and they only care about their tip money no about washing lemons

  7. I have worked in many reastaurants and I have never once seen the lemons or limes be washed. I never even thought about it till now.

  8. The restaurants and bars I have worked at have not ever was washed oranges, limes or lemons

  9. After working at a couple of restaurants I can give a very confident NO!! The lemons and limes seem to be the last thing anyone thinks about taking the time to wash before hand.
