Resumes are so impersonal. You fill out application at a kiosk and know one talks to you. A long time ago you dressed very nice if you were seeking employment. Currently it is only you and kiosk. Why dress up? I think you have a low chance of getting job, because know one talks with you. Your resume becomes a pile of c**p. Once they decide to hire, they pull last applications and friends.

  1. Yes, that is true sometimes. It's frusterating.

  2. True

  3. It's not so much the resume, it's what they do with it.  In most cases, resumes are scanned into a database.  Then, when they need to fill a position, they search the database using key words.  If your resume doesn't contain the key words, it isn't spit out, regardless of your qualifications.  That's why the best way to find a job is through networking.
