  1. Yah,

not only Sachin but also  Dravid,Kumble and Laxman need to retire

    Maiba_abu

  2. i feel tht His Injuries r making him not score runs so he shouldnt retire immediately, but may be by end of 2009 or if he wishes to play 2011 worldcup then no one can stop him, isnt it, he has the potential, no one can object on tht.

  3. Yes, definately. He should announce his retirement as soon as possible.

  4. ya.he have to take retirement, that's good for Indian cricket team.

  5. So he has to retire.Dude think how they won tri series in Australia its not 2 yrs back just 6 months and after tht he was injured and was not in Asia Cup n Tri Series in Bangladesh, if he was there they would had won both the tournments and they r going to lose one dat series too against Sri Lanka... over confidence Dhoni team

  6. Sachin still has a couple of years left. Did you watch the test series against Australia earlier this year, his form was blistering! All batsmens form go up or down for periods but the best batsmen pull through this and continue making the big scores. A good example at the moment is Ricky Ponting, the Indian bowling attack had the wood on him and he still scored a 140 against them. What has to be remembered is form changes so quickly in cricket, you may hit a 200* then get bowled for a duck in the second innings, and we're talking about Sachin, one of the best batsmen of all time, he'll pull through.

  7. every cricketer wants to get retire with pride! getting retire like this is leaving the field like anything! he should first prove that he is the same sachin- master blaster sachin then only he'll get retire!

  8. He has to be given 4 matches without being questioned about his failures & even then he does not succeed he should retire  from Test Matches.

ODI he is doing very well so no need to retire

  9. yes,he should take retirement and take rest at home with family because he has broken his bone many times and even he can't help indian team to win.

  10. I feel that he is playing before fully recovering from injury which affects his confidence.

  11. sachin should still play

  12. Sachin is getting old... He is only 80 percent of what he was...

But the fact is, even now he is one of the best batsmen in the world.... So thr, a fit sachin is still the best batsman in the world...

  13. Yes and every senior player

  14. yes

  15. I think so. Sachin has lost his magic touch. His best came in the year 1998 and his worst is the current year 2008. He performed better as a 16 year old boy in 1989, than now. He can certainly take up retirement from test matches and concentrate on ODI matches where he is still very good.

  16. This question is asked whenevr sachin plays a bit bad, when we give players like Dhoni a huge credit when he is not what he was before, why dont we give a chance to a player like Sachin.each and every player goes through good times and bad times, right now sachin is out of form in tests thats it. For that he should be given rest for a while and i am sure he will comeback good. as sachin is god of indian cricket expectations from him r sky high. i remember how people had called Sachin a "dead wood" in 2003 before the world cup, but after the 2003 world cup, the same told that sachin mst be given the Bharat Ratna Award.

i am not being emotional, but am frustrated with how people come to conclusion's without even thinking.

when Sachin plays well he is called GOD

when he does not he is called a DEAD WOOD.

    come on guys.....

we need to support people with great talent not only when they r winning but also when they r loosing, so that they can comeback and make us proud.

  17. think about urselves

  18. Yes. It is time for retirement for Sachin,Dravid,Ganguly,Kumble and Lakshman.

  19. I think Sachin still have mental fitness and can play a year or so with huge score don't be nervous.See Australian players they take their retairement after 38 year of age and nobody asked them like us.

  20. Of course Sachin Tendulkar lost his steam and worth consider for retirement.Normally of late when you look at his scorecards he worked for betterment of  his records rather winning the game. Of course every indian cricketer is of the same category it is better for sachin to call it a day and keep up his reputation

  21. Yes absolutely along with all the others that the first guy said i mean why should the oldies keep playing when young guns can come into the team and make a better impact and score more runs sachin was a great player in his time and yeah now he's not consistent i meann lykk most of the time he just gets low scores then occasionally he'll show the player he is and score a century or something but yeahh he should definetly retire

  22. Mr.Tendulkar is doing overtime and purposely delaying his exit. He should have declared himself  retired by now,  from all forms of game. But he wants to remain in active cricket as long as possible to earn more and more money, unless somebody kicks him out of the game. Tendulkar is after money and not cricket nowadays. Time has come for the team selection committee to drop him out the game forever and give chance to upcoming players.

  23. No he has much of cricket left
