Some states have installed these new yellow blinking lights in school zones. Doesnt everyone know yellow means slow down?

Does this make it safer for kids than just having signs?

  1. It really does. When you're driving down the road, do you honestly look at every single sign on the road? If it's a 4 lane busy street, sometimes you are too caught up in what traffic is doing to see signs. The lights catch your attention! I love them.

  2. No, it really isn't safer. It just raises speeding ticket fines.

Yellow does not mean slow down. When it is solid it means "Prepare to stop" and when it blinks it means "Proceed with caution".

  3. Doesn't hurt and the lights are easier to see in the dark early morning hours.

  4. perhaps talking on the cellphone while driving should be illegal EVERY WHERE

  5. YES!!  And I wish school districts would put one on the road FOLLOWING a stop sign or traffic light, since I know I, and a lot of other drivers, seem to get forgetful that they are still in a school zone once they start up again after waiting at a  traffic light.  God Bless you.

  6. yes
