I found an article and it talks about something like that. I saw comments where people say that they dont have kids and they dont Care if they will stop carrying kids.

What do you think about it ? Unlike many other countries the US does not have a serious network of public transportation. The US also does not have an underground pedestrian crossing on many wide roads unlike many European countries. Do you think it will be the right thing to do until those problems will be fixed? How can anyone say I dont have kids and dont care?

any ideas?

  1. Buses actually help becuase they are a form of mass transit. Without it, the 30 some students on a bus will each get their own car to go to school, thus increasing demand.

  2. Busing should bemore extensive and serve more kids. The buses fleet should be replaced with something more efficient though, like neighborhood schools.

  3. Actually I think they should be served with Buses because of the high price of gas- it's carpooling. It beats a bunch of kids getting rides with their parents wasting fuel.

And the people who don't care about the kids getting to school are extremely selfish! If they have a problem with it, they can move to places without any kids! ;)

  4. School bus systems are ran by local school districts and funded by your local property taxes or local income taxes.

Some areas do not have busing that can not afford it or because its not necessary if the school only has a few kids.

    TO answer your question:

Some old people are grumpy. How would they like it if we said "we are not old so we don't care about Medicare"

I think school busing is a very good idea and I think it actually saves gas.

I would also like to see public transportation improved - I have said for 10 years I would love to have a bus system in my area. Even before gas prices rose.
