  1. When it comes to special ed, I think that the whole class should be taught good touches and bad touches. And then the class should be split up.  The girls need to learn how to wrap up their pads and throw them away, we had this problem because most of the time at home the parents are helping them, at school they are being taught to be self sufficient.  Then the "higher" kids who are part of the dating scene should get a little more in depth talk about appropriate behavior with a person of the opposite s*x.

I worked with SH students in high school, and no s*x ed was discussed, except the feminine issues, and the dating was brushed off as being innocent until I noticed one of our couples groping under the table.  The teachers are starting to rethink s*x ed. for special ed.  They have the same hormones as the other high schoolers, they just don't know quite what to do with them.

  2. I have a special needs step-daughter, I am one of her legal guardians.  I feel s*x ed is important, but the parents should teach it to kids with special needs, not a school.  I feel it is necessary to teach kids at a very young age about wrong touches, even if they don't understand it, they can learn to describe it so adults can help stop it from happening to them.  (Our daughter, age 25 now, still struggles with knowing when a hug is wrong.)

  3. yes it is essential for the young minds to know in a right way thou so that they dont opt for wrong ways to know the answers to their queries.

  4. there teaching it here in year 5 (9 year olds) which i think is far too young they dont go into too much detail but i still think they should wait till year 7 there too much on kids growing up i think they should be let kids be kids
