Do you think skipping a grade is wrong??

Question

I am going to be a sophomore this year, and all my best friends are going to be juniors.. I really want to graduate with them, and I am capable of skipping a grade.. Should I do it???

Personally, I don't think you should for many reasons...

You will be out of place from your friends.

You will lose out on a year of high school, missing out on all kinds of memorable events.

You will take the chance of not understanding anything in the next grade.

You will regret it.

It's up to you. I graduated a year early from high school myself. I skipped 12th grade and went straight to college after 11th grade. It's the best thing I ever did, and i don't regret it at all, because it was my decision. I did it because i had enough of high school and at the same time, didn't enjoy it very much either. I was just focused on doing my work all the time and wanting to start college early. I am now an 18 year old college sophomore. It feels good to me because I'm so much ahead of everyone else and i just wanted to be different. I didn't care about missing out on memorable events (i went to my prom as a junior & graduated with the class of 07' instead of 08). none of that mattered to me... so it's really up to you. if you'd like to email me about any other questions you might have, feel free to.

I skipped a grade and I don't regret it, but that was in elementary school. DON'T skip a grade in high school. There are countless reasons for this. Every year in high school counts when you are trying to get a quality education that is appealing to colleges.

well the question is do you want to be youngest of them? that is one choice. also if you graduate with them you will have harder time getting job but you can go to college earlier. its up to you and if you can handle it go for it sometimes being quicker to grow up  isn't that great. you have a whole world ahead of you and i would take it one day at a time and wait cause life is so short and once youa regrown up you can't go back and miss your childhood is sad. but that is for you to figure out
