Do you think some g*y guys act and look thuggish just to fit in?

Personally, I think some of them do act that way to fit in and to me, it's a big turnoff. I think some guys are so insecure with who they are that they stop being themselves and start acting like other people.

Whatever happened to just being yourself and not caring what other people think?

this sounds right but in fact, we have to be at their position to know what they think and why they try to act. Like in SF, g**s guy show themselves clearly to the public but other cities, people may feel freaky and stay away from them. I guess their acts depend on where they're at.

That should be applied to all guys and even girls....not just g**s.  I am not sure why you are choosing to apply this only to g**s when all orientations have insecurities and behave in a manner to fit in that is not true to themselves.  Are you g*y and don't like this particular kind of guy?

yea sum put up an act just to fit in but others like me are masculine but one reason i can think of is that those guys try to avoid persecution...its important to be yourself but would you prefer that over the idea of getting your *** kicked (depends on your neighborhood i suppose) or disowned by your family??? its not as simple as you might think...solution 2ur problem? dont date those kinda guys if they turn you off.....

i sure as h**l don't if someone has a problem with me being g*y then i just ignore them and i'm also not very strong so if it actually got to a fight i would probably lose so i keep to myself

And yeah, I've noticed that. Or even worse - The closeted ones who act extra-macho to cover it up, just to have it blown up in their face. Seriously, guys, just be who you are. There's nothing more gorgeous than a natural beauty. =]

If they want to act thuggish to fit in, then you should leave them be.  If they chose to be like that, it's probably what makes them happy I guess... they wouldn't choose something that they hated to torture themselves.  People should be themselves but sometimes, but then again, what is yourself exactly?  Maybe some people are g*y but they feel that their true self is thuggish.

you wouldnt like me at all because i do that and its because im stil in high school and i dont know why i do it exactly because all my freinds aere okay with g*y people because alot of them are g*y or les so sorry you had to listen to my rant XD
