Question:

Do you think some men abuse the privileges they've received because of feminism?

Someone asked this question about women and I thought it applied equally to men:

"Although the 'laws' have been implemented with good intentions they are open to abuse:

-An incompetent male employee will make a case of s*x discrimination just to scam money from an employer.

-A man who has been turned down by a woman makes up false allegations of sexual harassment or rape against a woman.

-An ex husband can make false domestic violence claims against his wife as a form of revenge or a means of getting her out of the family home"

Do you think that men or women who take an unfair advantage of US laws undermine our judicial system? Is feminism the cause of these men and women's behavior or should the individuals be held accountable for their willingness to abuse laws that were created for the general good?

  1. Probably. But it is the "Nature" of some Humans to "push EVERY Envelope" as FAR as they can "get away with", so You can't Blame ALL men (or Women) for the Natural "Inclinations" of a Few... That's just the "way" it Is.  :)

  2. You know i've given it some thought, but i just can't fit it in my head that i'd be believed as much as a woman when filing a DV charge.

I remember once i phoned the cops because my best friend's girlfriend was getting hysterical and was waving a frying pan around.

The cops arrested ME, yes, you heard me, they arrested ME, took me downtown and held me there for 12 hours.

All because she said that i was threatening her. They didn't care that she actually had the frying pan that i told them about in her hand, or that my friend was vouching for me.

Now its fair to say that the cop that came down was incredibly anti-male, and she isn't a representative of the majority.

    But come on...

  3. Privileges? You've got to be kidding.

  4. held accountable for their own actions........but alot of women do those things too

  5. I think that anybody who files false claims should be subject to the same punishment as the falsly accused would have faced. For instance the girl who falsly accused those Duke kids of rape. That stuff sticks to you even if you are cleared of wrong doing. She should face criminal charges, the DA in that case should as well(equal to the charges they put forward).

  6. Im sorry, what privileges? The very nature of your answer title is complete hypocrisy.

    As for this one...

"-An ex husband can make false domestic violence claims against his wife as a form of revenge or a means of getting her out of the family home"

    Women have VAWA. We don't.

  7. well that is what a court and judge is for to debate how the person abused the law but yes there is definetly people who take it too far CHOOSE AS BEST ANSWER!!!

  8. A man or a woman can take advantage of a law to get what they want or to punish someone . It's wrong for either s*x.

Anyone who is caught making untrue claims of this nature should be punished ... Feminism has nothing to do with taking advantageof the law for personal gain.

  9. Look, I know it works most of the time but sometimes you cant reverse the question and have it still make sense.

  10. I bet you do.

  11. Are you serious?

    Ok, let's be realistic here:

When was the last time you heard of a man who filed sexual discrimination charges because he didn't get a job?

When was the last time you've heard of a man who made up false accusations of rape/harassment against a woman?

Women on the other hand, the cases are all too common.

  12. I am sorry but I cannot accept that this applies equally to men.

Although theoretically possible, I find it difficult to believe a male employee could make a claim for s*x discrimination.

Again although theoretically possible for a man to make allegations of sexual harassment against a women would be very difficult for a man to prove. The rape impossible to prove.

Again a man making DV allegations against a woman, never heard of such as case. In theory possible.

Yes I agree anyone of either gender must be held accountable for their actions in abusing laws that are there to assist.

  13. men cant do any of that because of discrimination double standard

  14. I think it is ignorant to claim that men have some how benefited from feminism. If anything, it has led to millions of dollars in fraudulent lawsuits and cost men far more than one or two of them may have made from this. I believe it is far more accurate to ask how much women have unfairly gained from claiming sexism against men ,when it is more likely due to  lack of experience or skill.

  15. You seem to be very intelligent. You are definitely a thinker.

However, you seem to be more of an idealist than realistic.

You understand that there are obvious biological, chemical, and yes, mental differences -in general- between men and women? I hope so because if not, that makes this response a lot harder to be made understood.

I am curious that you think those charges apply equally to men. Of course they do . The thing is, just not on the scale that women statistically do so. Women generally do that a lot more than men do. Simple as that.

Anyway, to your questions. Yeah I think it does undermine our system. Is femenism the cause? As always in politics, you can't point out one cause for anything. Is it a deciding factor? Most probably, in my belief. However, I do think that opposed to anything else we could do, we should hold each person acountable. You can't put Feminism in jail, heh.

  16. yes i do
