Do you think some of the anti-evolution questions are just jokers stirring up trouble?

I mean take a look at

"If we evolved from monkeys why are we still here?" question...

Like this question can't be serious. Can it?

Or are there that many uneducated fundamentalists out there?

  1. They have to be stirring up @#$%.  In this forum I just think of it as spam.

  2. Definitely!

Yes!  to there being "mock"fundies and sadly

Yes! to there being that many uneducated fundamentalists !

  3. Hi Steve

    Check out this web site:http://evolution-facts.org/

  4. Of course they are jokers! So are them who pose anti-creationism questions sometimes. For example: http://bp0.blogger.com/_ueqd0Rk5qaY/R6CF...

By the way what is the answer?

  5. My view is they show up where the 'sin" (evolution) is, post a smug remark and never read it. Wonder what would happen if the religion section got posts about the many foreskins of Christ and such?

  6. Some could be, especially fanatical Creationists.  But I'm not a creationist nor any other religionist, and I am appalled at the 'criminal' damage afflicted upon the human race's efforts to advance along the 'right' tracks, by Evolutionists (and creationists).  The day scientists decided to distort the word "theory", that we all understand to mean, "maybe", or at best, "most probably", into "fact", which we all take to mean, "unequivocally true", was the day the 'great brainwashed, gullible, sarcastic, insulting and fanatical Cult of Evolutionism' was formed.  They have become so warped in their defence of their, very plausible, but none-the-less, evidence lacking faith in their Theory of Evolution, that they are profoundly guilty of all the ignorance's they blame everyone else for.

I do blame their leaders for showering them with masses of miss-informational ambiguities, and for not providing their 'flock' with the, specific, solid, unequivocal, physical evidential proof that their theory is, in fact, "Fact".

Again I say, for the thouandth time, to the fanatical critics of this 'answer', I will completely change my mind and become Evolution's strongest supporter, if any one of you can produce just one scrap of "unequivocal" HUMAN mediatory fossil evidence.  Please, don't try to send me off on a wild goose chase of several biased web-sites, nor suggest that I take a BA degree in biology.  I've done it all before, several times, to the point of nearly becomimg as brainwashed as yourselves.  For simplicity, I am ONLY interested in the origin of the HUMAN BEING.  The DNA, so-called, evidence, of evolution, is so flawed and contested by many other biologists/scientists as well, so please don't bother to throw that 'red-herring' in.

If you have the precise fossil evidence that you imply you have, that you desperately NEED to have, PLEASE, let's see it, and the "trouble stirring" questions, from the "UNEDUCATED", will cease immediately!!!

(It would be appreciated if your response could, for once, be civil and mature, which I realise will be difficult for those of you with superior education and 'superiority complexes').

    Thankyou!

    EDIT

Hi Cavorim.  Still trying to get us onto the right track.  Your optimism is admirable, but, sadly wasted.  "There's none so blind as those who don't want to see".

I reckon god's 'done a runner' with the 'missing link', myself!!

  7. What is evolution? We are evolving right now, most of us are getting weaker in body but stronger in mind. In some ways we are almost evolving into two human races. Think about.

  8. anyone full-heartedly against evolution are home schooled narrow minded evangelists.  if it weren't for Christianity, i would bet that evolution would be claimed as fact.  some people find it hard to give up their beliefs that god created everything in seven days with magic.  its really sad, and frustrating.

  9. Sadly, they are serious. They are in denial, clutching at short cuts in thinking that seem to support what they want to believe and seeking validation from other denialists. They don't realise how inane their 'questions' are because they don't have the courage to really think about them.... and because they have their heads firmly in the sand over the topic in the first place.

  10. Yes some are jokers

Many aren't, but surely the point in this forum is to ask questions, hear other people's opinions, and not enter into any kind of debate with such a closed mind, and I suppose that goes both ways to creationists as well as evolutionists.

  11. I've started to check their questions & many do ask the same question once a month or so. Because so many take the time to give an understandable & rational answer, I've concluded their aim is to harrass the scientific community & especially those that delve in anthropology.

However, many have learned to hide their questions & make them private... thus avoiding identification. Their ignorance & hatred knows no bounds.  It is almost like they believe that perpetrating ignorance will make the magic they believe in true.

  12. Unfortunately, many of the askers of these type questions are serious; however one must also take into account the asker's age, which of course, isn't given.  This is a perfectly natural question for a five year old; rather absurd from someone 45.

  13. Educated, above average intelligence, first at university, atheist and it is quite obvious that we did not in fact evolve from monkeys at all.  Can't see your difficulty with the concept - quite simple.  And whilst posting - hi there to the truth seeker - seems as though we are the only ones awake enough to notice - nice to make your acquaintance - one day they will all see that they are members of a modern day flat earth society.

  14. Sadly, too many of those question are deadly serious.

  15. Sadly, I think there are that many uneducated people out there.  When I think of the time and effort I put into my teaching career, and then the kinds of things I read on here, it just makes me tired.

Earlier today I answered a question (since deleted) about the "proof" of evolution.  This person rejected the scientific definition of theory (if I read one more time that "evolution is only a theory" I will exhibit some kind of aberrant behavior myself--I mean, gravity is only a theory but I haven't floated off the planet yet), all fossil evidence, and radiocarbon dating.  Well, how can you prove evolution to someone who rejects all the science behind it?

Sometimes people do seem serious, though.  Once I answered a similar question for someone who believed in "adaptation" but not evolution; this person seemed to understand after reading the dozen or so answers to the question that adaptation is part of evolution.

So, I think it's a toss-up.  Maybe people lurking but not posting are learning something.  Let's hope, anyway.
