whether it be because of money or whatever.

mainly the people i am talking about are druggies and psychos and what not.

it just scares me to see people who are clearly unfit become parents. and eventually after enough damage has been done, someone finally steps in.

so my question is, do you think certain types of people should be allowed to have children? what types do you think should not be allowed?

  1. Yes, I think that certain people should not be allowed to have children. Drug addicts, pedophiles, psychos, and people of the like. Unfortunately, we have no say as to who can and cannot have children....

  2. Hitler did this once

    he sterilized some

    and killed others

you can,t pick and chose who has children

  3. yes

kids can get really messed up

  4. Well I agree I don't like the fact that druggies or phycos have kids because they are not responsibile people to even take care of themseves but, Everyone has the right to have kids right? lol

  5. Look, I understand you completely! There are two girls who go to my school, and they are best friends. They have not been brought up the best, and are struggling with the bills and such. I know that at least one of them smokes, but when I heard the news that they were both pregnant, i nearly cried.

It's very hurtful to know that these teens (at age 16-17) are expacting children, since they are still unsure of the world around them. They are still in highschool, and I feel really bad. I know that they have DEFINATLY have not been brought up right, and I am scared for their children.

I really know what you are trying to say. I think personnaly, the answer is NO.

At times it seems like it's really mean to disallow such a miracle to people, but when you are scared for the child, knowing that he/she may not have the best life, I thinkk the answer is much clearer.

  6. Some countries have had rules like that.

    China.

    n**i Germany.

The United States until the 1950s (we sterilized people with various handicaps).

    I think it's incredibly evil.

  7. Oh yes.  I don't like the fact that many undesireables have the ability to reproduce.

Take my idiot neighbors for example...please take them.

    .

  8. I agree some people should not have kids, but really, how would you stop them?

  9. YES

there are lots of people i belive shouldnt be allowed to have children and il get lots of thumbs down for saying ti but i dont care

    stupid poeple

very religious parents who indoctrinate there children

    people who cant afford children

people with seriouse disability ( eg these 2 blind parents who were on the TV a while ago , there poor children were in such a state )

people who over populate ( eg couple who have 17 children , how is the planet supposed to sustain that?? )

  10. YES.  I am all for parental licenses just like a driver's license.

Do you think our system just lets anybody adopt kids??  No, they have a screening and don't just give anyone a child.  They have standards.

Really, how many people even on this little website keep asking "I took drugs and drank some vodka... you think it hurt the baby?"  TOO many!

  11. well i do think some people don't deserve them my sister and her husband all together have 4 that is known of and they should not be able to have any

my other one has 2 kids and she don't need them

then well half of my family don't need them as they have them and turn them over to there grandparents

Then most teens don't need them some have htem and do great at taking care of them

but as adults most of them don't need them either but some are great parents

I have a 3 year old we have tried our best to raise her right and stuff and so far it has worked

  12. Beneath the surface, that's a tough question.

On one hand, people with a proven inability to parent SHOULD NOT have children.  However, there's a big jump between "shouldn't" and "not allowed".

Who decides who "isn't allowed"?  How is that enforced? What does someone have to do in order to be not allowed to have children?   Let's say someone who is on the "not allowed" list gets pregnant: birth control or surgical procedure fails (not unheard of), then what?  Forced adoption?  Forced abortion?

It opens up a huge can of legal/ethical worms.
