Do you think someone is a bum for wearing distressed jeans?

Since I am a 14 year old guy, I dont go to the mall on my own. So me and my dad went to nordstrom to get me a new pair of true religion jeans. I saw a dark pair that I really liked for $240 and bought it and got it hemmed/tapered there. AFTER WE LEFT, we went to another store that had some other true religions for $319. They had a sale counter on the back, and there was a pair of $319 Trues for $78.99!!!!!!!!!! there were 2 and that one was my size, so I decided to buy it with mymoney, and I found out, I onlyhad $38 in my wallet since I spent $65 on a pair of nikes the other day). I asked him for 50 bucks and he said sure. I was so happy, but then when I tried them on and showed him since I have to get my parents' approval on almost everything, he said to put it away and never look at it again. Just because it had distressing(or wearmarks made ym the company) and thought it made me look like a poor person!! what is your opinion on this?

Nope. I think they are cute. I have a couple pairs myself. Try telling your dad/mom how much you love them and that they are in style...but not for poor people...for everyone!

no they dont...i think its gonna be a very popular style again this year. it was popular about 2 or 3 years ago too i think

personally i dont buy them because you can either make them yourself or just buy some jeans and just naturally let them wear out. why pay so much money for jeans that alreayd have holes and whatnot in them? when that [pair wears out....well thats gonna be pretty bad!

xD distressed jeans are not in right now.

they were really in like 04' and 05'.

like, yeah true religion and expensive companies still make them.

but honestly look at any runway show or any catalog and you won't see people wearing distressed jeans.

it doesn't make you look like a hobo.

but i think it just looks kind of...trash.

lol i'd say just like get some nice straight leg jeans.

and i mean if you really really like them just explain to your dad that

you think they look good on you and you feel good in them.

but honestly i think you should just get normal jeans.

That's terrible. I think jeans with a little wear in them are super comfy and totally stylish! As long as YOU like them, you shouldn't worry about what others think. By the way, what a deal! You should have gotten them! (:

your dads right. be a real man by nice jeans and then distress them your self with yard work :D

wow! long q! well i definitely don't think that distressed jeans make you look like a bum! if the marks look really fake they are not always my favorite style but if they look natural or they are not really light colored on really dark jeans then i think they look cool! good luck and hopefully you get the jeans you want! good luck convincing your parents!
