1. Yeah, that would be great but right now I don't think it's realistic.

  2. It's not the media we should blame, it's use we should blame thinking we have to blame the media. This is all pressure to it in with society's idea's, and different mediums are just fast and effective ways to transmit the current 'fad' to the whole wold in to their home and into their lives for ever.

  3. no matter what the media puts out there , there are always gonna be different people who dont look the same, thats the great thing. you can try to look like a model, but chances are you are too short or fat or ugly, and the only thing you can do is learn to live wit it, but really, the media only shows whats out there in the superficial world, not necessarily the real world.

  4. yes the media is to blame

if they didn't put out a model image of what we all should look like

then people wouldn't care about what size, colour, look you are

they make it seem like you have to be beautiful to fit in

  5. The Media is US.... they are what we would like to say/so ,but dont act on. The media is really showing everyone what we are thinking and obsessing on.

  6. I don't think all people are like that. I think only certain people are like that. They worry to much over it. I'm overweight, and yes it bothers me. But I'm not hung up over it. I've started a new job, which is not stop moving, so I know I'll drop some weight. But I'm a happy person. I have a great boyfriend, a great family. I'm happy.

But I do think the media is to blame for some of it. Kids need to realize this stuff isn't the end of the world.

  7. well either say its extremely hard to be happy with who you are and what you have when there is sooo much pressure from the media and society in our everyday lives

  8. I do think that the media has a great deal with the way people (women mostly) feel about thier bodies. I wouldn't feel like I had to diet all the time to stay thin if the media didn't openly call celebrities that are a size four huge! I'm a size 8/10, which I wouldn't call big, but I wouldn't call small. I think it's average. I have wide hips, so I know I'll never be a size zero and I've come to terms with it. I've noticed that I don't care as much as I used to. But the media makes you feel like you look like the good year bimp calling a size 4 fat and looking at stick skinny actresses on tv and in magazines. It's hard, I wish so many people didn't have to feel the way they do.

  9. i agree, but it's so hard. i hate having a puggy stomach, don't you?

  10. if u look at yourself in the mirror and are happy with what you lookng at (especially if you dont look good), then their is something wrong with you!!! everyone should try to look there best and have no one to blame but THEMSELVES!!!

  11. Media can be blamed to a certain extent in that it showcases the "model" body/ standard of beauty seen by society and sort of portrays prejudice against those who are of 'lower standards' so to speak. They are to be blamed for the influence, for the stereotypical views and perspectives.

However, humans are just jealous people, sometimes. And many people aspire to be that person they look up to and tend to enrich themselves so that they might become like them. It's not a bad thing until they misuse this action by being overly self-conscious and will do whatever it takes to get what they want, even compromising their health (for example).

Other factors that affect peoples' attitudes can be peer pressure and personal attitudes (for eg. perfectionistic mindsets, etc.)

  12. yeah that would but exercise and eating right makes me feel good...i dont do it for anyone else maybe my girl!

  13. No, that just gives out of shape people a reason to stay out of shape. There is nothing wrong with being fit. In fact, it should be an ideal.
