Do you think stepping on cockroaches speeds up they're evolution?

We must step on them about 1000000x more then we did 200 years ago so only the fast roaches would be surviving. How many do u think you've stepped on in the past and multiply that by billions.

  1. haha, if they evolve to be faster at evading us, then we would just evolve into being faster at stepping on them!


  2. It doesnt affect evolution.  If it is dead there is nothing left to evolve.

  3. Well, by stepping on them, we're selecting for the fast ones to survive (since the ones we're stepping on are probably the slower ones).

    However, I'm not sure if speed is an evolutionary trait that could be inherited to the next generation of cockroaches...

  4. I don't think stepping on cockroaches helps them evolve in any way whatsoever.It does, however help in reducing their numbers.Quite frankly I don't know of any biological advantages or uses of cockroaches in this world.KEEP KILLING THEM,THEY'RE USELESS!!!
