Do you think surfing is great training for the sport of boxing?

It gives you a rock-hard posture, long muscular lower back, strong arms, and plenty of counter-swing momentum

  1. honestly surfing helps with your skill with your footwork, ive never boxed but i have surfed. i believe with boxing you need to be fast on your feet and surfing will help. Also paddling out will build up your biceps and triceps


  2. 1) No form of exercise changes the length of a muscle unless there's a flexibility imbalance to begin with. the shape of an individual muscle in general can only be changed with a scalpel.  

    2) Without more direct upper body training, surfing does no more good than most forms of core training for boxing, and perhaps less good than more focused explosive core work.

  3. What a laugh!!! Surfing and boxing are no where near close!!

    Best trainin for boxing is actually boxing!!
