  1. Absolutely the Swans pushed Geelong, if you include Malceski, Hall, Everitt, Kennelly and Fosdike then I think we could have done the impossible but then again that is every teams complaint when they have injuries. It was good to see us be so competitive away from home and without those good players it means we will definitely have a good year.

  2. Definitely pushed them. But what happened in the first quarter - we never really recovered from that.

Tagdh was a big loss but I doubt he would have made a difference to the final result.

Despite all the media I thought Goodes played pretty well - he should have kicked 3 of those goals - he ended up with 4 behinds.

It was a good game - I will be definitely going to the Geelong game at the SCG.

  3. Yes I totally agree!!

Though Im still not decided if Cats picked up pace in the final quarter and won it or Swans fell away and lost it..

Either way no 4points for us but we still have our pride..

    And next week!!!

  4. yeah i think they did for sure

end up being 42 points, but Swans did play good

  5. I listened to the second half on the Internet, since Andrew and his idiots do not think I need to watch the game on television here in America.

Sydney had the Cats number, pure luck, yes LUCK, that my Catters got over in the last 11 minutes.

Geelong played like St. Kilda has all year, but recovered.

St. Kilda seems to play one quarter and then hope to hang on, just about what Geelong did.

Bomber must have chewed on some ar*e in at the 3Q break. I guess it worked. Gaz Jr decided that the Cats had to win. Glad Geelong won, but via the radio call, the Cats played like sh*t.

  6. Im a geelong supporter through and through, and no, i wasnt worried for a second. Although, they were fairly close in the 2nd quarter i had no doubt that they would bring it home strong! With the help of Steve and Gazza!!

    Gotta love the cats :)

  7. the game goes for 4 quarters not 3 and a bit, the end was 46 points, Richmond got beat by collingwood by 40 odd points, every said we were smashed and we were for the first two quarters, how did a 46 point loss push geelong. sorry mate but no the swans didn't give a yelp when it mattered.

  8. A strong side is a smart side, and Sydney showed just that on Saturday, an injured Tahg Kennely out for the match, but Sydney were smart enough to figure out Geelong were working as a team as they always do.

The second quarter Sydney showed their confidence too fight and win, 7 points down.

The third quarter showed courage from Geelong as they were not harmed by the umpires decisions, Sydneys way. As Sydney showed the style they played Geelong began marking up and keeping the ball as far away as they could which would ruin Sydneys plan for the 4th Quarter.

The fourth quarter in the eleventh minute, Gary Ablett swapped from Keiren jack as Keiren wasn't getting enough if the ball which Sydney despirately needed, to Craig Bolton which eventually made a change of the game, Gary Ablett stepped up and led the Cats too victory .

  9. yea, i thought they might be able to beat the cats there. but geelong applied pressure in the last quarter and the swans just seemed to fall away.

  10. yes i think that would have to be the closest i have seen a side push them... at skilled stadium too. i was at a function were there were predominantly cats supporters and you could tell from the atmosphere and even at the stadium geelong fans have become very used to winning, and there was an unusual amount of tension in the game for them compared to previous games.

There was alot of screaming and 'umpire haggling'

every minute there would be screams of "in the back!!1" or "baaaaaaal!!!"

and general biatching about the umps, which to me says quite alot..

i think a comentator summed it up

"you get the feeling geelong have gotten used to having it their way"

    kudos to sydney
