Do you think technology wise there are countries able to cause 'natural' disasters such as earthquakes?

Would it be really that hard to cause an earthquake, tsunami and other disasters, with the kind of technology that there is out there right now?

  1. If you exploded enough ordinance over a fault line perhaps you could and if that fault line was already unstable.


  2. For hurricanes/cyclones I believe this technology is impossible. I think you could engineer a tsunami by exploding a large hydrogen bomb in shallow water near some coastline, but it would be obvious that you did it. It may be possible to trigger certain shallow earthquakes, but it would require a large on-site program, so unless some country wants to do that to itself I think it is highly unlikely.

  3. any nuke could cause those

    and i've felt an artificial earthquake. a building about 2 miles away from me exploded from a gas leak. it almost knocked me over when the ground shook
