  1. The ONLY way is to go to auditions that need youngsters. I am  a model out of ny for 6 years, I go to acting auditions sometimes, but MOST of the kids auditining are signed with an agency.  and usually those are who get picked. Since the industry for kids is very small, best thing to do is hit up every LEGIT agency preferably in NYC, I can give you a list . and you can take your child there, make sure though that you are willing to let them rip you guys into shreds if they do not have the look. they are very blunt.

My Daughter is 3, she does a little modeling when I take her to my shoots, but.. acting- I haven't gone down that road with her yet as it is VERY hard.

  2. Yeah. they just have to have a good support system behind them and realize that it is going to take some time. h**l, you are only 11 dont take too seriously where it engulfs your entire life. There's plenty of time.

  3. Please don't push your child into acting. I can't stand it when parents do that to their kids. If they are interested, let them do plays and take classes. If it remains serious, then see what's up.

  4. Wrong category ..

  5. If they have the talent they can do it. Also, the benefits of being a young actor are 1, plenty of time to get better 2, plenty of time to get noticed and 3, can be in the acting industry for years to come.

  6. No not 11 year olds....unless they are professional actors or actresses but usually not............especially if they do not know how to spell!

  7. If your parents are behind you on this decision, yes you definitely can make it.  You have to decide whether you need acting lessons, or whether you are a "natural".  I have taught acting for many years and produced Musical Theatre.  The most enjoyable, enthuisiastic actors on stage, were the young people.  If you have a dream, follow it, no matter how old you are, and if you parents will help you then you can definitely get and agent later, and try out your talents.

Mind you, it is one of the hardest industry in the world, and one must keep auditioning, rehearsing, working, working working.  Follow your dream no matter what comes your way and you will be a happy adult.

  8. Idistery?  What the h**l is that?  Get a freakin' dictionary.

  9. Um, wrong category.

  10. So what's the question about adoption?

  11. That's "industry" and there's no comparison between an 11 yr old child and a 28 yr old adult.

Some kids make it in acting, some do not. Some kids make it ONLY while they are kids but go nowhere in the industry as adults, others are successful on into adulthood.

I'm sure you've seen child actors on TV and movies, so why the need to ask if kids can make it as actors? You see proof of it every day...

What does this have to do with Adoption? It should be under Entertainment or Careers, don't you think?

  12. idistry is the way you would pronounce it if you had a cold haha.  i just kept reading that and that's the only answer i've got. hahah.

11 year olds have been known to 'make it' in the acting idistry, but generally they turn out to be drug addicts because the INDUSTRY swallows them up.
