  1. I was 38.

  2. it's never to old to get an education. and maybe being older will show that your more mature. Way to Go!(:

  3. I don't think you are EVER too old for a college degree.

  4. You're never to old to go back to school to get a degree.  I was 26 years old when I got my B.S. and my brother was 31.  And if it'll make you feel better my mom was 42 when she got her B.S. in education.

It might be a little difficult to get a job once you get out of school because the market is flooded right now, but if you at anytime ever suspect that employers are denying you based on your age that's discrimination and it's against the law.  I'm not saying that it doesn't happen or that people don't get away with, but it is illegal.

It's also possible that you could work for yourself once you have a degree.  If I were you I would try to get at least one internship under your belt before you graduate so that you have experience in the field because that really help.  A lot of places are looking for people with experience but where do you get it?  If you can get through an internship (which some are paid) you'll have at least a little bit of an edge.

And I'll tell you this, because I recently realized that the degree I have is not the field I really want to work in, even if you never work in your field you worked to earn your degree and no one can take that away from you.

  5. Its never too late to better yourself and get an education. My dad is 55 and still in the computer field...

  6. I think it could help you, because not only will you have the necessary education, but you will have the maturity that the younger people lack. You'll probably be less rash in your decision making, and that can't be bad.

  7. Your never to old.

  8. Time passes by anyways so you can either spend that time helping yourself, hurting yourself, or being stagnant.

You are soooooooooooooooooo not too old.  Good luck with everything.

    :)

  9. HA! no, not by any stretch of the imagination! Education needs to be a life long thing and I hope that when you're done with your bachelors, you move on to another bachelors or a masters or technical certificates.

the more you know, the better off you are. you are never too old to learn and to earn degrees.

I know someone who earned an associates degree at 45 without even realising it, he was always taking a class or two at nights and earned one in history. he earned his 3rd masters and 4th bachelors before he was 35 and completed his second phd two years ago.

your age means nothing except that you have maturity. keep at it and dont ever get discouraged. dont allow anyone to tell you to give up. you only get one shot at life, make yours a good one!

  10. No...you're Never too old to Learn anything. ;)

Besides my Mom graduated from UTD when she was 35. h**l A 76 year old Graduated from a university about 2 years ago.. =D

so...you have until the day you die to earn a degree! ;)

  11. oh gosh no. theres people much older than that getting degrees and giong into this and other feilds. 29 is really not old at all.

  12. No absolutely not. Especially since it sounds like you have some experience in the working world already as opposed to the average 22 year old fresh out of college.

  13. h**l NO! I am 30 myself and about to finally go back to school for a Nursing Degree... there is never an age to old to better yourself!!!! I am a single mom of three and this is my first chance to do this because now they are all in school, and it is something I always wanted to do Do You!

  14. i think that most places will be looking for experience over age. if you're good at computer engineering, they won't care how old you are! i'd say not to worry about it and go for your degree!

  15. ABsolutely not.  There is a huge need for computer engineers, and most don't care your age unless you past retirement age.

  16. you are not old!  Dont worry i dont think they will care

  17. Yeah age may matter, to be realistic. but it should not be a real concern if u r interested  coz thinking over this matter may waste another valuable year. in any case one should think over this issue years later in his life whether he was right or not to get to a study or a decision was fruitful, for now just proceed onward

  18. no way i don't think so ... heaps of people are starting there career at later stage these days ,age don't matter anymore... if you ask me i think you will probably get seen as older and also wiser then the younger ones. I don't think you Will have any problem competing with the others,  they should be worried about competing with you haha so don't worry about it you will be fine..

    Good luck with every thing..

  19. NO.

  20. goodness I hope not that would make me ancient! I am graduating in 2012 at the ripe age of 36.

  21. It will depend upon your total resume.  If you have 5 to 7 years of work experience then you would likely be looked upon without any critical concern about your late completion of your college education.  If this is your fourth major, then I would consider you to be less than serious about your new career.

  22. No way!

You're never too old to further advance your education and computers aren't leaving anytime soon.

    Best of luck to you!

  23. lmao.. u should meet my mom. She got her bachelors in education when she was forty. It's never too late to do anything. Just keep learning on paper and otherwise, eventually you'll get to where you want to be.

  24. not at all.

just the fact that your trying to reach a good goal is great :]

  25. Your never to old for an education. I finely got my associates degrees in 2000 I am 61 years old.

  26. I knew a guy who became a lawyer at 78. He didn't even start college until he was 71. He had always wanted to be a lawyer but had a wife and family to raise. When he was done with that he saved some money, got some grants and became a lawyer. No, your not too old!

    Good luck!
