Do you think that 911 would have happened if Clinton was in office instead of Bush?

There seems to be a lot hatred towards the Bush family. Does it matter who is in office or do you think the terrorist will strike regardless?

I think that 9/11 happened BECAUSE of Clinton.

Clinton did nothing in his 8 years to combat terrorism. He ignored threats because he wanted to be remembered as a peaceful president.

Most of the planning that the terrorists put into the 9/11 attacks occured during the time that Clinton was ignoring the activites of terrorist groups.

Well, since we are doing "what if's".  If Bush senior had won a second term, his understanding of terrorism and the threat it is would mean there would not have been major terrorist attacks against the United States from 1992-1996---meaning the first attack would not have happened in 1993.  Those attacks emboldened terrorists to start planning the attacks for 9/11.  

I also don't think Bush senior would have let terrorists plan the attack for 7-8 years.
