  1. i dont know what you mean by "guilt" but i know barak is really using the race card to a large extent.

if a black (i apologize for speaking of race) man has a good chance for being president blacks and sympathizing whites will be very excited.

  2. Credit where credit is due. He is a good man with some good ideas.  Unfortunately, he's running on the Democratic platform, which I simply do not support.  I think he'd be a great president, if not for his party's platform.

So, no, I do not believe guilt is involved here, and it is just a cheap shot at best, if anyone says it is racial guilt.  He's definitely the best choice for an opponent. And, if not for the platform, I'd vote for him, myself.

  3. Barack Obama Was nominated because hes way the h*ll better than Clinton is stupid and isn't going to win, cause all shes going to do is f*ck up our country more than it is now

  4. Barack Obama was nominated because he had more votes...

  5. Barack Obama is a very charismatic and capable politician, and while I'm not a fan of his, I think that he deserves the nomination as much as anybody else in the Democratic Party.

To answer your question, I'd say that racial guilt was the definitely the reason for at least some of the votes that he got, but this was probably the vast minority of the total. How many, I couldn't tell you, and I doubt that taking these votes away would have cost him the candidacy anyway.

  6. No one pulls a lever in a booth on race alone.

However, one does pick a VP on the basis of identity.

  7. Of course, he has very little experience and barely did/does the jobs he did/does have (state senate/U.S. Senate).  "Where's the Beef?"

  8. Not guilt by any means.

  9. NO

  10. I voted for him because he KNOWS what it is like to be hardworking- to have bills that are difficult, if not impossible, to afford. I think he is the champion of the middle class... if not from his own experience, then from his wife's. Michelle Obama did not grow up privileged... how many houses does McCain own???

  11. No. I believe he was nominated because he can string sentence together, unlike Bush and McCain. One can also tell that Obama reflects deeply before he speaks and does not jump to outlandish conclusions which are based on little evidence. He's a master of rhetoric, but he also understands the issues that effect America and the world. Even if he's not as entrenched as McCain and not as strong (whatever that means), he's definitely articulate. That's enough after 8 miserable years.

  12. Neither.  I think he was nominated because of spin, being an inspirational speaker, good speech writers, and great handlers.  The public, at large, is beginning to understand that Obama is nothing more than an empty puppet that looks good in a suit.  Empty promises and pipe dreams will not help America, no matter how good they sound during a speech.

  13. I wouldn't call if racial guilt, that seems a little too harsh. I know people aren't that open to change, but maybe some people wanted to see a change through a new race.

    p.s.

He is pretty handsome too :)

  14. NO BECAUSE MCCAIN AND HILARY ARE OLD AND SOGGY AND HE'S JUST SO MUCH BETTER.

  15. yup.

  16. He was elected because he's intelligent, charismatic, and a man that can do the job.

  17. He has a great record of helping people and as long or longer than Bush, Carter, Reagan, JFK et al!

I voted for Clinton but I will not vote for a platform of greed, corruption and lies! One that will also get a woman's right to chose overturned in Roe V Wade which is 1 Supreme Court justice away!

I will vote for Obama, and most younger people don't have these racial proclivities.

I guess then I will vote for Obama because he is as white as he is black. He was raised white as well. So I guess you glass is half empty!

  18. Barak Obama was nomimated because A) he's a novelty candidate, B) because the Democrat party has dipped it's collective toe into socialism, and he's the most socialist of all the candidates, and C) they didn't trust Hilary.

  19. it isn't because of any outstanding public service...what did he ever do?

  20. are you kidding me... why would the United States of America nominate someone out of racial guilt.. this isn't a high school prom.

  21. Self imposed mythical racist guilt.

  22. Blacks all vote for him because he's black. LISTEN TO ME! If we becomes he will make America the worst country on the planet. Heres some of the resons not to vote for him.

    1. He's not a Christian. Meaning he will take God out of schools.

    2. He's for abortion, meaning young girls who get pregnant will have it easy to go and get their baby killed.

    3. He's for g*y rights. Meaning g**s will be able to get married anywhere.

Well thats it, Hope you listened.

  23. Neither of those reasons. Because he would make a great president and has had lots of experience. He has good ideas.

  24. NO - he was nominated because he IS the best person to hold the office of president!

  25. I think the second answer.

I don't think anyone has racial guilt about anything.

  26. no not really

  27. The American people put Obama where he is

You know there may be real hope for this country after all

  28. Outstanding record of public service?  He spend most of this senate term running for president.  That's the only thing on his resume.  His race against Hillary was just to verify that white guilt is stronger than male guilt, at least among Democrats.

  29. No, I voted for him based on his common sense thinking.

  30. NO

It was the 1/2 billion dollars of foreign money that bought thousands of hours of TV time.

    America consistently obeys TV
