  1. It's easy to hate Bertuzzi, everyone remembers the criminal hit on Steve Moore!  But, don't forget that he scored 25 goals just two years ago.  Every year that he has played 70 or more games...he has scored more than 25 goals!  He is still a valuable player, both for his muscle and for putting the puck  in the net!

As for the Flyers being a good fit....word has it that he wants to return to Detroit.  He liked his short time there, the discipline there, the front office there and his teammates.  Detroit is trying to find a gritty replacement for the retiring Dallas Drake, and Bertuzzi fits that mold best of all!

  2. 82.

  3. I think Todd is a goon as well, but he has paid his dues for the most part, however weak they were. The point is simple and made by Brian Burke, that the Ducks are parting with a heavy sad heart and $4 mill. in salary/yr. It is expected that Bert will play this season somewhere else for less money and still has the presence to play well for whoever grabs him. He could end up crawling  and begging for certain teams to talk to him, leading to a nice pay cut for a chance at a cup as his career is closing soon also. I think he realizes after this week, he is looking back now and will be confirmed when he signs somewhere.

  4. I think he still has a lot left in him and could really help any team but he comes with allot of unwanted baggadge

  5. Todd Bertuzzi isn't a good fit for any team.  He's a cheap player, and a bum that doesn't earn his paycheck.  He couldn't even produce when surrounded by the Detroit Red Wings all star line-up.  He's going to fail miserably in Philly and everybody there will be disappointed.  If you're from Philly, I truly feel sorry for you.  He's a waste of money and time, and will probably spend 5 to 6 games suspended over the course of the season.  He, along with Chris Pronger, should both be banned from the league, in prison, or brutally murdered.  He's the cheapest, most cowardly player since Claude Lemieux.

  6. no, hes is the most dirty player in the nhl

  7. They're the only team that he'd fit.

Why would I not be surprised if he actually did end up there?

  8. Bertuzzi would be a "good fit" as a DOOR STOP...!!! He's just as thick as one...

  9. God, I hope not. Our offense and trouble is fine the way it is...

  10. He will be a great fit. We will miss him at Anaheim because he has the sweetest hands for a big man. No suspension, that's not his MO anymore. He's much more controlled in his emotions but boy can he hit!

  11. Whatever "good" Buttuzzi brought any team, he left on the ice at the feet of Steve Moore's broken neck. He hasn't been anywhere near as good since. Brian Burke was a total idiot in bringing him to the Ducks in the first place and an even bigger idiot for giving him that ridiculous contract. He knew he was going to have to sign Getz and Pers. What was he thinking!!!

In answer to your questions, NO the Flyers do NOT need this guy. No team needs the cloud and bad karma that Bertuzzi brings with him. He's not what any team needs.

BTW Ducks fans ... maybe now that Bertuzzi is gone then Teemu might come back for another year. Can you imagine what it was like in that locker room with Pronger, May AND Bertuzzi. I'm surprised lightning didn't strike the place. Anyway, would love to see Teemu for just one more year.

  12. He needs a strong coach to force some discipline on him and some self-control.... he'd actually be good in Nashville or the Leafs (maybe).

Philadelphia.... no way.  He'd get caught up in the goon competitions there.

Personally, I wouldn't want him.  He had no self-control in the play offs this year.  He skates with a chip on his shoulder ever since that incident with the Avs.  He hurts a team more than he helps in pivotal games.

  13. No thanks......let him finish destroying himself elsewhere

  14. as long as he stays as far away as possible from the Wings. i hate bertuzzi.

  15. Hmmmmmm.......  Maybe we'd get lucky and they'd kick him out of the league.

  16. Now that the Flyers are back where they used to be, Bertuzzi would only hurt them.  If he didn't sucker punch Steve Moore, Vancouver certainly would have beaten Calgary and it may have been Vancouver/Tampa Bay in the Finals.

    Regards,

    D.J.

  17. He would do just as well in Phili as he does in Anaheim. He would probobaly be suspended for five games.
