With Favre's reinstatement and his not attending training camp as of 2:56pm EST on August 05, 2008, it appears that Rodgers will be getting the starting job.  As for my opinion, in a perfect world, Favre would be right back in the starting job and Rodgers would sit back and say: "hey, I'll wait."  But this world is not perfect.  Rodgers would most likely not sit back and wait it out.  Let the man play.  He's been waiting for a shot at it and he's almost entitled to a chance.

after the last couple of weeks I would say no but because of recent events it is a definite possibility. It will be decided who preforms better in team camp.

McCarthy [Packers coach] is smart enough to test Brett to breaking point, to make sure he is up to the job

Even though he was the starter, Rodgers is now the starter, so McCarthy will treat Favre like a new addition, not an old addition

I think that thy will release Favre, and let him be a free agent

This is stupid. Green Bay is just scared because they know the only team he wants to go to is Minnesota. I know they aren't going to pay him 12 million to sit on the bench. They have already made it clear that Aaron is their starting QB. I personally hope he goes Purple. Then we really would be the "Purple People Eaters." People say that we dont have any good wide recievers. The addition of Berrian was HUGE. He is a great player and honestly no one can deny that. People also forget about Darren Sharper and the new addition of the SS in the 08 Draft who can surely make some tackles. Anyone remember the game we played against NY where we forced 4 INTS 3 returned for TD'S. Yeah, be prepared to see more of that will Jared Allen. Honestly Favre needs to go to Minnesota. The Packers can just go cry in their corner when we win the division with or without him.

well they said its going to be a qb competition in camp so if favre is still as good as he was at the end of the season last year, i think he will get it. i love to watch favre play, i hope he comes back. but i do understand everybody is sick of his flip-flop and Rodgers cant be too happy but i still hope he comes back

I have to guess right now that Favre will be traded.  The Packers have moved on and unless the Packers say otherwise and Favre lets bigones be bigones, he won't be their starting QB.
