Do you think that Chex Mix should have nuts in it???

I don't care for nuts so I make it without.  It's really up to you.  What do you like/dislike?  How about the people or group your making it for?  It's o.k. to vary a recipe just a bit, sometimes things turn out better when you do (vary the recipe).

There are several versions of it , I thought one of them had nuts.

No.  I make my own Bits n Bites with Shreddies, Cheerios, pretzels, cheese bit crackers and Rice Chex if I can find them or else Crispix cereal.  I always leave out the nuts as I prefer it without.  It is all added to melted butter with worcestershire sauce & seasoned salt.  Much better than store bought!

I would say yes, BUT if you are having it at a party I would suggest one with and one without as there are people who have peanut allergies and sometimes just picking them out doesn't work for them.

Personally, i don't like nuts in chex mix. But ask your guests if they prefer nuts or don't. Otherwise, get two bowls one with nuts and one without!
