Question:

Do you think that Earth could be a 'test' planet?

Here is a theory and any ideas or suggestions would be fantastic feedback.

What are your thoughts on renewal of a species. What if humans from another planet are trying to renew themselves by using Earth as a testing planet?

Could that explain why they keep revisiting Earth?

Are they the 'Higher' being that has been recorded over centuries?

  1. Ha ha.  Been reading "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", have we?

  2. Always apply the principal of Occam's Razor.  To look for answers to a problem, always go for the simplest.  The simplest is, humans originated on Earth, which hasn't been visited by aliens, which also gives the lie to the third proposal that they are superior beings.  And recorded? By whom?

  3. m3 -

It's an interesting idea, but it is pretty unlikely. Any test that is being conducted from hundreds of light years away would involve "visits" that would, by the laws of physics, require thousands of years to complete. Observations made from that distance would show the earth as it existed hundreds of years ago - not today - due to the time it takes light to cross those distances. And the fact that humans have evolved to adapt well to the conditions on this planet (for example, we see best in the wavelengths supplied by our sun) means that we are not the same species that could have arrived from elsewhere.

Your thoughts are sort of fun, but they fall into the realm of science fiction. They are sufficiently speculative that I would consider them highly unlikely to the point of impossibility. There is no evidence that we are being visited by extraterrestrials.

  4. Sorry to be pedantic, but that's a hypothesis, not a theory. And it's a pretty whacked out one at that. A theory needs to be testable, and your theory can be quite easily torn to pieces.

Furthermore, our species is indigenous to this planet. There is ample evidence for that, I needn't elaborate on it any further. No humans on other planets, unless we send them there in the future.

  5. Humans from another planet? The chances of other Human beings on other planets is close to impossible. And why would they be testing? If they were smart enough to travel on an intergalactic basis, would they not be smart enough to know the result of what they are looking for rather than "testing" a planet before getting a result. And if these people were "Human", how does that make them a "higher being"?

This is just another lame conspiracy theory.
