Question:

Do you think that God is completely at our mercy?

We decide when he lives or when he dies, just with a simple snap of the fingers? How ironic, the God that was supposed to be the creator of the Universe, and of Humankind, is dependent on the same Humankind for his precarious existence, and he has no power whatsoever, for he lives only in our imaginations. If you disagree please be convincing with your arguments.

Thanks so much.

  1. It sounds like you woke up on the wrong side of the treehouse.

    Good luck to you.

  2. that's the stupidest thing i have ever heard.

God isn't at our mercy.nobody is more powerful than godand u guys are stupid to think so.

  3. You are right, God has no power.

He entrusted it to man, and look what they did with it.

  4. Of course. All we have to do is stop using our imaginations and *boom* he's gone.

  5. If he doesn't exist then , yes. If he does then we were at his/her mercy.

  6. I have a bag of skittles in my drawer. I'm just going to snap my fingers and pretend that it isn't there. But obviously it still is.

I personally don't think this is a convincing reason to believe that God is at our mercy.

If you come up with something better let me know, I'd like to hear it.

  7. Ooh I think you are brave coming in here with any question.

Maybe like "the God of the gaps" he is inserted wherever science falls short of a good enough theory. God is only a word surely, like love it represents something unquantifiable, unobservable other than by the influence it seems to have in our perception of reality. For me as a conscious observer of an infinite universe, there is more than enough room for God & he can fit in wherever. God has been a comfortable word for a lot of people for a long time, it may be at our individual mercy but God will probably be around for eternity like they say I reckon.

  8. You have it backwards, my friend.

"We" are at God's Mercy!  He is in control!

  9. To make presumptions as to the validity of God you are required first and foremost to define ‘What Is God.’’ Man is a varying degree if his God in mortal form. The life cycle of man has a beginning and an end. Defining his life path, its purpose, significance requires definition and quantification prior to embarking upon any discourse regarding mans need or lack thereof, of a greater guiding will, power and force of energy.

What is the meaning of Life … ? If man has yet to produce a conclusive answer to this much iterated question of what importance or consequence is his amassed knowledge and literacy, his gained understanding or perception of the world.

For ‘’God’’ to be cast to the mercy of the rabble, the mob, to be subjected to the vote, for the purpose of inflating the ego of the prevailing evil toward compromise of unity and Spirit.

Define God’’ , assess his worth or role in the workings of the universe, and then seek to question his power or role. If man is unable to define God, how then can he deride or deny him/her/it. … ?

  10. God needs us to save him.
