A great deal of players are better then Pierce.

Guys like Kobe, CP3, Shaq (in days gone by) and Lebron can will a team to the playoffs on their back.

Paul Pierce needed a load of all pros to get there.

That is the difference

Pierce is probably a top 30 player, but hes not even the best player on his own team.

Paul Pierce is NOT better than Kobe Bryant. But he does have a better team than Kobe Bryant.

Paul Pierce has Ray Allen, who in my mind is a great defender. He contested all of "KB24" Kobe Bryant's shots.
