  1. yeah, i think he's s******g himself.

  2. h**l no I don't he up his vote count

  3. I'm in the UK watching her speak at the conference.

    It says it's live.

From what I'd read I thought it was all over but listening to her speak I think it could have been a very shrewd move indeed.

She has a lot of angles. She is young and very photogenic like Obama.

She has the family angle including the son in the forces and the special needs child (which she has already highlighted in this speech).

Ok so her teenage daughter got pregnant but that will be held up as a 'normal' family struggle.

She is also stressing  the need to drill for oil on Alska.

That's like offering Homer Simpson a Duff and a doughnut for a vote.

I honestly think anyone wavering will be safely back in the Republican fold.

I dind't think Bush could do it again last time. After being sure Obama would stroll in this time  I'm really not so sure.

I look forward to the conclusion of hostilities in Iraq and the safe return of troops which she is so sure is imminent.

Democrats be warned , she IS the big guns and I honestly think a lot of focus will be on her  rather than Mcain.

    Do something!

  4. sealed the deal with me. if it wasn't for palin i was going to vote for ron paul as a write in.

  5.      I think that Mrs. Palin is a bad choice.  There are many VERY qualified individuals male and female who would have been a better choice for Vice- President.

In a tongue and cheek article, a local paper in south florida pointed out that a local female commissioner has more political experience the Palin, represents more people (1.25 million versus Alaska's 900,000), has given birth to 3 children (as if multiple child births qualifies a person for national office), and has won her elections by more votes than Palin.  The paper then suggests, again tongue and cheek, that this commissioner should be a V.P. candidate for McCain.  Well, I like this commissioner, but I would never suggest that she is ready to be V.P. based on the above...and neither is Palin.

If McCain REALLY wanted to make a good selection, and he wanted the selection to be a women, he should have picked Sec. of State Condelese Rice.  Love her or hate her, she has more national and international experience than Obama and maybe even Biden.  Ms. Rice is a strong intellectual person who has the experience, knowledge and maturity to handle the V.P. duties and step into the Presidency at a moments notice...unlike Palin whose only good point is she "is a quick learner".  I don't need or want a "quick learner" for V.P. or the Presidency, I want and need someone who is ready NOW!

  6. Yes....

2 years in government are not enough to become V.P. (does she know how Wash. DC runs? All the In's and outs?)

Alaska = OIL any one...??? McCain has his hand in the oil business too.
