  1. Even if he gets 300 wins he would be questionable - no HOF has an ERA that high, not close. He never won a Cy, never won 20 and has had a career playing on teams that give him great run support.

He won't win 300 anyway, so no, he will never make the Hall. Ever. Hall of Good, sure. Hall of Fame? Nope.

  2. I've always liked Mike Mussina. Consistent as all get-out, solid performer, quiet leadership...but not a Hall Of Famer (unless he win 300 games). Mussina never won 20 games, never won a Cy Young award (but then again, winning one doesn't cement a spot in Cooperstown; just ask Mike McCormick, Jim Longborg, Barry Zito, and LaMarr Hoyt), and never played on a World Series winner (which never held back Fergie Jenkins and Gaylord Perry). Mussina is a good pitcher, a bright guy, and a good interview, but not a Hall Of Famer.

  3. As much as i think he is an AMAZING player....i still think if he ended his career THIS SECOND....no....if he gets 20-25 more wins....and some more k's he definetly has a good shot

  4. Only if he gets to 300 wins.

  5. Even if he achieves an amazing 300 wins, his chances of becoming a Hall of Famer are still pretty slim. As a pitcher playing with other soon-to-be Hall of Famers (Jeter, A-Rod & Rivera) it's hard to become one of them. When people think of the Yankees, they think of those three players, Mussina isn't in the picture, but when they think of pitchers for the Yanks, Mussina may come to mind.

  6. i would really like to see him go! i think he can actually make it..

he might get 20 this year who knows

i, like Snoop up there, have always been a fan of Mussina for the same reasons ^^ (not a yankee fan)

He's been doing really well lately and a lot of people were skeptical from the start of the season but he has proven himself to be a really good veteran pitcher.

He's 39 right now i believe? and i still think he has a couple more years left in him to make it to 300 :)

    go moose ;)

  7. No -- but I'm willing to let him convince me otherwise with a big finish. He's not done yet, so he still can improve his eventual candidacy.

I don't care if he reaches 300 wins or not, though if he does he'll surely earn many brownie points with the actual voters.

  8. When/If Mussina gets 300 Wins he has a chance to make the hall!

He continues to perform (K's/Wins/) and is playing excellent baseball!

    Good Luck!
