Do you think that NBA players could dominate in team handball? Why or why not?

Given that they were given a coach to learn strategy, and time to get in game shape which wouldn't take them long.

Yes they could because they have good handling.

Yes they would, their speed, jumping and dribbling ability would make them very good, the only difficulty would be shooting, as they would have to completely learn a new skill

Only if they agreed to train together as a team for at least 4 years and play enough game at an elite international level.After all German players have a real feel for the game as they been training at it from the youth level up.

Dirk Nowitzki could have been a team handball player had he not chosen basketball as he has all the attributes for the sport. I also recall a Sports Illustrated article urging MJ to play for the 1996 USA TEAM HANDBALL it didn't happen. He would have been a much better handball player then baseball as the transition would have been a more natural fit.

Basketball players already know hot throw, catch, and dribble as well having good vertical ability. Finally they would be coordinated enough to run and dribble at the same time. Biggest adjustment would be over the size of the smaller handball vs basketball.

After that it would come down to how fast they can learn the game and get over the fact there not playing basketball so the instincts need to focus on what come naturally to a handball player.

yea, they have good shooting skill, all they need to do is getting used to passing a lot and not dribbling too much.(and running with the ball)

The only position I'd be worried about is the goal keeper.  I haven't watched the sport since the Olympics in Australia.  But even with the size of the goal, I think a futbol player or a hockey goalie would do better as goal keeper.

Huge problem... there isn't a market for handball to have endorsements as big as the NBA's players have.  No incentive to get them to play.
