Do you think that Preps copied the Skinny Jean style from Punks/Surfers/Skaters?

I love wearing my Skinny Jeans! I love them! They let me express my style because I love clothes from Pacsun, Roxy, Hurley, and Billabong! I am not a prep! But I am wondering why Preps are taking the Skinny jeans style from us? Do they copy stuff from us or not? A lot of people think they did they it from us! My friends, siblings, and other people around me think that they did? Why do they always take away our styles! I was looking at a Limited Too magazine and I was like! Omg! Now you have to take the Skinny Jean style! They even had a line of Punk clothing! I started laughing!

it's just a STYLE, look at audrey hepburn, was she a prep or a punk? she was neither, she was classy and she wore 'skinny jeans'.i think that no one's stealing anything from anyone, style and fashion loops its way around every genre and 'group' at one time or another! :)

First off, you didn't invent the skinny jean, its like the chicken and the egg. Only it came first. lol But also Labels are stupid. Who cares who wears the skinny jean, they are just pants. No need to start telling people what they can and cannot wear, cuz that's just stupid.

And who are the 'they' you are reffering too? The 'preps' ? That's just a label, and labels are for soup cans. No one can take away your style because you are supposed to be unique and have your own. If someone wears the same shirt as you, o well. Millions of people shop at Pacsun, Roxy, Hurley and Billabong. Pretty much anyone around where I live does. Those are brand names, and its okay to wear them, but if you are concerned with someone taking your style then make your own clothing, and stop whining.
