Do you think that Serbia should be eligible to become a member of the EU?

Now that Karadzic has finally been arrested should Serbia be allowed in? For over a decade this man has been protected by the Serbian authorities so unashamedly ignoring pleas from outside to catch and hand him over for trial. There should never be a place for this ultra nationalistic country in the EU. Does the EU need Serbia?

  1. I think the EU, NATO and the injustice institution in the Hague should be disbanded, and its members, as well as the NDH, Muslimania and the psvedo state of Kosova should compensate the families of Serbs and others who were abducted, detained and murdered in n**i stile prison camps such as the Silo of Tarcin or the Lora Navel base in Split, as well as families of abducted Serbs whose organs were harvested and sold in the black market. I think Iraqis should be compensated as well, and Mexicans should be compensated by the US too. Besides, I think it is the US turn to disintegrate, and thus, do the rest of humanity a grate favor, please God. Amen.

  2. why not, part of their state is already.

  3. Karadzic, Mladic and Molisevic have a huge number of followers that hope to become leaders of Serbia one day. They believe what these war criminals did was heroic.

If Serbia becomes a member of EU, there is a huge chance they would commit genocide ("heroic actions") on EU member countries, just as they did to the members of Yugoslav Federation.

Hey, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia would become members of the same union again. And it is too soon. Serbian extreme radicalism is still strong. Let cool down for another 30-40 years.

  4. No most people rightly think the EU is too big already and justice and democracy has already been removed.

There was never been any kind of referendum among the populations of the original treaty of Rome member nations to allow the former Soviet Bloc territories in, never mind any more from eastern Europe.

Also why is there so much bally hoo about Karadzic being tried for genocide in the Hague, whereas more wicked tyrants like Mugabe are being allowed by the United Nations to stay on in power, and continue to inflict their tyranny and starvation on their populations apparently without hindrance!.

  5. It's too soon to open the doors to Serbia - there's still a lot of unpredictable unrest there.

Turkey's neither economically or democratically ready for the EU. Their human rights record prove there's still a lot to be done to come up to EU standards.

  6. SERBIA DONT WANT TO JOIN EU, EU WANTS SERBIA BUT THAT IS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!!!

    SERBIA AND RUSSIA FOREVER!!!

    GLORY TO SERBIA!!!

  7. Karadzic was merely a scapegoats. U.S. and EU wanted to show nice to Muslim countries so that the oil price will be down a little bit.

Anyway, everything got time. If they are qualified in their values, Serbia will be a member of EU. All depends on their contribution: peace and prosperity.

  8. No definitely not. Not in this century at least. Serbia is a typical example of a Rogue State. Divided in almost all aspects of society. Unreliable is the word and nobody can contradict that in a sensible manner.

As for Karadzic he has a reputation that is on a par, or even worse than Hitler's in his days. How this whole affair of letting him wander around with the knowledge/consent of the US is beyond me. It seems utterly despicable. I only hope we will get an explanation of the reason behind this.

  9. I don't think EU needs Serbia, I think Serbia needs EU.  But I still think that they will be allowed in, although there's a long way ahead of them.

  10. It's all about trading. Serbia wants to trade Karadjic with entry in EU, ignoring the facts that they knew all the time where he was hiding. Nevertheless, Serbian security forces offered him a shelter and close protection for a years even that they were obligated to cooperate with Hague in this issue. And now, suddenly, Serbia became democratic and the doors of EU are open for them?? Until they change their entire philosophy of life, until they realize that they can not abuse with others rights, until they became aware for crimes commited on their name, until they stop demonstrated every time some of the war criminals are arrested, until they don't  ask for forgiveness and until families of massacred civilians by Serbian forces don't forgive them, they should stay far away from EU entry. Did anyone mentioned another fugitive of Hague tribunal Mladic? He will be delivered in Hague as well, but first Serbia has to prepare herself for another trade deal.

Do the EU needs Serbia? --NO.

  11. Once they're ready for it.  Their democratic system needs to bed in and their economy isn't strong enough yet, but they should be able to join eventually.
