Land lines will go VOIP totally, some witll become portable too ! Cell phones will become total media devices to work through out the world.

I think they will go the way of the corner pay phones.

wireless will be the internet/cell phone way to go.  There's no way they would ever get rid of land lines, they are a base line communication that still work with no electric power.  They have to keep the land lines.

landlines arent going anywhere in a long time! The copper lines are now becoming obsolete with the new fiber optic lines that verizon is putting in. If wireless was to be the only way of voice communication in the near future, then Verizon wouldnt hae wasted billions on fiber...
