  1. The line between the age of minority and the age of majority is, of course, arbitrary. However, for most purposes, it is practically necessary to establish a firm line for many purposes. However, for some purposes, such as a criminal trial, they may go through the effort of proving whether you were acting as an adult or a child. If you commit a felony a few days before you turn 18, I would be very surprised if you weren't charged as an adult, no matter how juvenile the crime.

(also, the age isn't 18 for everything, it can be 14-17 for some things, 21 for buying alcohol, and it varies depending on the state)

  2. Most people  under 25 are totally immature. They don't know it but trust me,once you get past 25 and look back you'll see. Most people under 25 have socialist political leanings, when they grow up they lose that in a hurry.

  3. Legally, no. You reach the age of Majority on your Birthday, and then you are legally recognized an adult.. however, that is the legal definition, some 16 and 17 year olds are way more mature and adult like than many 18/ 19/ even some 20 year olds.. but the legal definition is all that matters.

  4. Commit a felony and I assure you the prosecutor will view you as an adult and try you in adult court.

The actual test should be based on an individuals personal maturity level, but there is no way to judge a personal maturity level, so an arbitrary age is used.

  5. you will  probley be view as as a teen for a little even after your birthday
