Do you think that a lemonade....?

Question

When I babysit this 8 year old boy in the summer do you think that we should have a lemonade stand or would that be dumb? And also do you think it would be okay for me and my ten year old partner to take him to a near by park even though someone just got attacked in that park and broke his jaw and cheek bone? And should I organize a playmate to come over? Sorry that I'm so excited but it's my first babysitting gig in my whole life!

Sweetie the answer to any of these questions is going to depend on your age and maturity.  I don't think a trip to a park where someone was attacked is a good idea!

I like the lemonade stand idea- my daughter wants to do one too.  I don't like the idea of just taking the money though so I told her if we did it, we donate the $$ to a charity.  I wouldn't let my child go to a park where someone was attacked.   A playmate is good if his parents say it's okay.  I wouldn't make the playdate too long though.

You should do a lemonade stand. That's a good idea nice thinking. I would not have anyone else come unless it's a friend if his to the park. Ask his parents if he can have a friend over. I hope this helped.

yea a lemonade stand would be great. try not to worry too much because when the time comes when your babysitting you will know what to do!

I wouldn't go to the park.  That's something that should be reserved for someone who can drive (no offense).  I don't think a lemonade stand would be dumb IF the kid is into it.  You can find fun ways to jazz it up with him, like using jello molds to make the ice cubes.  You could even use other fruit juices to make the ice (just make sure it tastes good with lemonade).  I also wouldn't organize a playmate to come over since this will be the first time you've watched someone.  Take it one step at a time, and have fun.  Good luck!
