  1. Oh yes.

  2. YES

  3. no worse than any other place.

    everywhere is the same!

  4. Become?...

  5. Yes, it's getting worse.

  6. No, its a lot better than many other places on the planet!  I am still proud of my country even if no-one else on here is!  This is why:

I can go to the doctor for free.  My kids get a free education.  I can vote.  I can say what I want about the government and no-one will put me in prison.  I can worship God whatever way I choose.  As a woman my rights are protected by law.  We have some of the best orchestras, theatres, art galleries and music venues in the world.  Our countryside is beautiful, from the Scottish Highlands to the Cornish coast.  By and large people in Britain are tolerant of others and of difference.  We have a rich cultural heritage, from Shakespeare to Morris Dancing!

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

  7. We have some serious problems, plenty of people know what they are, and plenty of people have constructive, realistic answers to them .... sadly the government isn't among them and they aren't listening either. So yeah, it's going downhill fast.

This week a guy got a criminal record for over-filling a waste bin (the top was 4 inches away from being closed) and an 18 year old guy with a mental age of 5 and learning difficulties got hounded for being a racist. You'd have expected that sort of thing  about 70 years ago in Germany. All this at a time when we can't deport terrorists because of their 'human rights'. It's a bloody shambles.

  8. I heard mugging, esp. pickpocketing is very commonplace there

  9. YES a right shite hole.. welcome to third world Britain..

  10. yes it is getting worse, a lot of people are moving abroad, and it makes you wonder why, i think if the majority of people wrote to Gordon brown to tell him he would have to take notice of us,i heard he realises he has made a big mistake and is trying to rectify things.

  11. No.  Nothing much ever changes here in Britain except the date.

People think that London is a dangerous place, boy they should have been here in 1941 when I was born.  I'm talking serious fireworks - right!

There are about 200 battlefield sites scattered across the English countryside.  This tells you a lot about us and what we're like.  In truth the British are just a bunch of blood-thirsty Germanic tribes.  My own mob the Welsh, have a hobby, which we call 'war'.

If the people of London want something, they know by history and instinct that they will only get it if they go on the rampage first.  Try this for size : -

You could not live in a nicer place really, if only they would empty the dustbins more often.

I saw one guy on TV somewhere outside of London, who now has a criminal record for filling his bin up too much.  I mean, is this England or what?

You see, the problem is that in some areas we have allowed the lunatics to take over the asylum.  Time to slam the lid down hard on them.  My advice to the people is go out on the rampage, set fire to the town hall, maybe then they will pay attention.

There is one thing the British do understand and it's a punch in the face.  Just do it.

Otherwise if you're not that bothered just switch on the radio and listen to the Archers - a fantasy world which never existed but one which we think we live in - Ambridge, everyone's village.

  12. If you are an Englishman, then yes.

if you want to move to Britain for freebies, handouts and preferential treatment over the people who actually pay INTO the system, rather than just sponge out of it - then no, it is THEE place to go.

Local person, born in the area, white and homeless? TOUGH - almost no "points", you either sleep rough, find a hostel space or doss down on a mates' sofa.

Immigrant who has lost his papers and cannot prove even his name? No problem sir, B&B tonight - sorry about that, then local hotel for a few days and we will get you a flat of your own within a fortnight. In the meantime, if you go to the benefits agency, they will arrange for an emergency grant for you in cash.

It is so utterly galling, it is almost funny.

Sad part is, this type of "positive discrimination" is starting to fuel some VERY nasty feelings on the street. As always, politicians and the PC Brigade will wait until there is massive outcry and protests before they finally realise they have gone to far.

    Heh ho. Nowt new there.

Wish we had a PM with a spine - the Australian PM seems to have the right idea to me, he has this odd notion that Australian people should not come second-place to everyone else!  How novel.

  13. Well, the pound is pretty high, but hopefully because of America, it won't weaken.

Anyway, like most countries, it has gotten worse.

  14. yes. britain was never a great place to live but you have to compare it to the rest of the world. britain has become a haven for people who need to earn money thats why we have so many europeans here and a lot of these people have come from holland /france /poland and are not necessarily white. not that i am racist,i am from barbados but everyone in the world is just trying to earn a livingand if they have to migrate then so be it. some are fleeing persecution and even threats of death ect.my own daughter is emigrating to australia because of the climate here taking my grand children with her.

  15. the government has made it the place it is, they're F***ing useless.
