Do you think that carl froch would have beet joe calzaghe if they had a fight?

No, I don't think that he would have beaten Calzaghe if they ever fought.  I saw Carl Froch's last fight and he didn't really impress me that much.  Especially considering that the guy he fought was 37 years old, only had 15 fights, and never faced anyone noteworthy.  Calzaghe hasn't really impressed me much either to tell you the truth, but I think that he is the top super middleweight in the world beyond a doubt, and now that he beat Bernard Hopkins, he is the top dog at light heavyweight as well.  Despite that fact, he didn't impress at all in the Hopkins fight- he almost lost to a 43 year old fighter who was only focused on throwing right hand counters, and he managed to get dropped by one of those right hand counters.  I'm not a Calzaghe fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I think that he has the stuff to beat Froch if they had ever fought.

As far as why they didn't fight- Froch is basically unkown outstide of Europe and it didn't make any sense financially for Calzaghe to fight him.  Calzaghe is looking for BIG fights to retire off of, which is why he is saying that he wants to have one more fight against Roy Jones, Jr. before he hangs up the gloves.  I don't blame Calzaghe for choosing bigger fights instead of going against a guy (Froch) that he knows is not in his league and who doesn't bring any money or intrigue to the table

i think calzaghe would be too much for him.

the main reason the didn't fight is because joe is close to retiring and just wants some big fights and some big paydays for his nest egg.....and they don't get much bigger than hopkins and jones jr.

I dont like Calzaghe, but he would have won a sloppy decision with his 100 spm (slaps per min) approach.

h**l no, froch is garbage. i don't think much of calzaghe either but hes on another level.

No. Joe is the better fighter. But Carl is the best challenger from  Britain and would give Joe a good fight. Joe is doing what Steve Collins did to him when  Steve was  about ready to retire.

not a chance...he has a better chance with jemaine taylor if taylor decides to face him for the vacant title which i think he should
