  1. Barring injury, Carl Webb has been a dominant forward for the past 4 seasons. You won't find another forward who will intentionally target him when running the ball (they get smashed),

An aggressive ball runner with a good offload, Carl Webb would have been a test regular if he had played for an inner Sydney club.

Needs to have more minutes on the field though, during a game to be referred to as a fully fledged prop( ie bailey, price, petro,).

Then again W Mason gets a jersey regularly even though he is a 10 minute player and gets picked in the forwards when he plays the majority of the time spent on the field in the outside backs, especially when the is a dominant forward such as webb, moi moi or Adrian moorley (a highlighted example of someone who intimidated mason) on the field at the same time.

  2. not really

he hasnt been in much form

    laffranchi wud hav been betta

  3. I am a Cowboys supporter and even i don't think he deserves the place. There are many other fowards who deserved this spot over him. Although he is big an strong, he doesn't work hard enough for long enough, so he may be a liability unfortuneatly. But who knows, this might be what he needs to give him some motivation. Best Luck to Carl Webb.

  4. should be fine

  5. oh god no! He is only used for his aggression. They could of thought of laffranchi who is a much better footballer, even hannat, ryles, o'meley, hall have played much better in recent weeks.

  6. No way, how is he better then Laffranchi, Hindmarsh and co. In my opinion any other Country origin forward is better then Webb.

  7. Definately... he's a strong player, in form and has the Mongrel that the Aussie pack needs. If the Kiwi's are packing Kidwell and Co... then we need the fire power to take the game to them in that department.

Webb is playing just as good as Mason, but also has the intimidation factor that he lacks.

Carl will do well, the only question i've got about his selection is... will we see a big A shaved into the side of his head???

  8. he's playing good football, and he's got the goods to go well in the test. I do however think that the second row was always going to be an interesting selection, i think hindmarsh would have been my pick because hes a backbone player of the test team. Guys like thurston, lockyer and co. are the same and will get picked regardless (perfect example with scott princes form and him not making the side.

i wouldnt have picked webb, but he'l go well i think

  9. he doesn't really deserve to be there but in his defence he does play up a notch or 2 when it comes to the big games. sims or laffranci could've been easily picked.

  10. h**l no he is so overrated and is only in there to bring some spark into the forwards with his aggression late in the game when the nz forwards are tired i think it was a waste of time putting him in there

  11. h**l do ok

  12. You wouldn't think so. But good luck to him.
