  1. It's no more mutalation than common plastic surgury procedures--whether for cosmetic reasons or otherwise.

I admit, circumcision may seem daunting, but it has its benefits.

  2. I am passionately against circumcision, unless in those rare cases that serves as a medical practice (eg for the cure of a serious case of phimosis). In any other case it is nothing more than a cruel act of mutilation and like all such acts it’s irreversible. A grown man can have himself circumcised if he likes to, but a man circumcised as a child cannot grow back his f******n. As a cultural or religious act, circumcision symbolizes the power that the community holds upon the individual person and that person’s body. But in modern western society that sense of community thought is way too tribal. An individual’s right to corporal integrity (keeping one’s body intact) is a birth right of every man and woman, anywhere in the world. Imagine being born in a society where the local customs dictated that you should have your arm cut off when you are a child. Does this make sense to you? If not you cannot support circumcision because on principle it’s the same thing. Permanently removing a part of one’s body without their consent and for no other reason than following a cultural custom.

  3. I do not believe that circumcision is mutilation.  I believe that it is a hygiene & religous issue.

  4. I know it is mutilation.

Anyone that doesn't has a faulty dictionary.

It has no benefits to the victim, only for the mercenary mutilate for money "doctor".

amber: if you think having 20,000 nerve endings chopped off of your body has benefits get your genitals clipped, or all ten of your finger tips sliced off, or your tongue cut out. NONE of those has as many nerve endings as  the f******n of a boy!

  5. It could be worse... *thinks back to BME*
