The IPL does payout a lot for 6 weeks, but some football players in the UK get over £100,000 a week ($200,000) and that's EVERY WEEK for the WHOLE YEAR. And I heard Jordan was on $100,000 a day back when he played in the NBA. So, even though they do get massive amounts for the 6 weeks, football palyers and basketballs, I think, still get payed A LOT more! Still, I love cricket the most.

not even. they probably get similar amount of money to international players of sports like hockey and soccer all around the world but they don't get anything close to private clubs and teams in America.

well i hate those people who say this cricket has entered into peoples heart, wheather u say through advertisement or through sheer enthusiasm, its one of the longest game played on earth, u tell u wont  like to put money on a game that is played for 5 days(test match) or for 9 hrs(1 day) or for the most thriller format the 20-20, u brand is advertised for so many hrs . Leave all the stuff BCCI is a private body so its like a company just like urs and mine, other sports are governed by the government so its the politicians who should be blamed and not the cricketers.

i am sorry but untill the ipl the footballers took the cash and still do with over £1 mil i think the cricketers deserve more.

Only in India ,cricketers  are paid more  than other sportsmen.

  In  other countries, cricketers are paid  very less compared to other sportsmen.

Though, by international  sports standards,it's nothing

I  agree other Indian sportsmen should be paid more. by their

boards.

Indian cricketers get paid well only bcoz of sponsors of the

game

BCCI can pay them decently coz of sponsors,also they

get  a lot of endorsments

Golfers,footballers,boxers,Basketball players,baseball players,

F1 drivers ,tennis players ,....get way too more than Indian

cricketers through sponsorships  and match fees,  both.
