  1. In America, a lot of criminals don't know anything else. They will break the law and their life will just be a viscous circle...everything they need is in prison and they can't make it in the real world...well a lot of criminals anyway. I sometimes think prison teaches people nothing.

  2. No, they keep going back to prison, because, they enjoying living off taxpayers for free.

  3. No, I don't.

  4. No. Once found guilty, all this human rights nonsense should be thrown out of the window. Prison is supposed to be a punishment not a holiday camp, and the sentence should fit the crime - so that means a murderer should be there for their entire life - not let out after a few years for being "a good boy" - which means they spent most of their time in prison watching TV and playing computer games. THAT, is NOT punishment - it's passing the time ! ! !

  5. nope, bring back hanging for rapists, murderers and perverts, send the foreign criminals home to do the time in there homeland, which would free up space in the jails here, meaning we could lock people up who have been given life sentences for life, 5 years fo 5years 10 for 10 and so on and so on, thus getting rid of the need for this early release load balls, meaning people get the punishment they are handed down and not a slap on the wrist with a pathetic community order. ........... There got that off my chest. ;-)

  6. NOPE...liberal judges are finding any reason to keep them or get them out fast....the best is the New Hampshire judge who did not send a child molesting woman to prison on her 2nd conviction because" she was to pretty to go to jail"  YUP great justice we have there.....

  7. No!It is far too easy for them!

  8. no i think they let them off to lightly for the things they've done! x

  9. No

  10. No. They have too many 'rights' when they are in there.

  11. No because jail sentences are too lenient. If you do a crime the sentence has to be longer so people learn from what they did wrong.

  12. no they do not, but in todays climate of living which is worse getting locked up with free bed and board and entertainment. Or spending every day scraping around paying bills and struggling to feed your self. Jail to me looks a pretty good option --------> :)

  13. No. A large proportion of the problem is 'overcrowding' in prisons which means that judges have been told not to lock up offenders for the longest terms possible, and those already in prison are released early.

If you commit a crime then you are taking away someone else human rights and therefore should forfit your own which would help towards the problem of overcrowding. If an offender thinks they have the right to take away someone else liberty then why should their victims and other lawabiding citizens have to pay over the odds for them to enjoy a comfortable existence whilst in prison. Prison should be a punishment so why do they have to have their own cells, tvs, gym etc. The sooner the PC goody goody start to think more about the victims of crime than the perpetrators the better we will all be as the threat of a prison sentence may beome a detrerant instead of a free holiday away from the responsibilites everyone else has to face everyday. Also, I dont see a problem with making prisoners work while they are locked away, that way less taxpayers money will have to be used to pay for their upkeep and can be spent on more worthwhile things that will benefit the rest of the community.

  14. No I don't

  15. Prisons should be a lot tougher... If they were then re-offenders would think twice before breaking the law again.

The amount of time spent in prison isnt the issue. Once you climatize to  the surroundings then its not so bad. Which leads me back to making prisons tougher.

  16. well look at the sentance that couple got for deliberately starving their child to death in a cold insect infested room. she got 12 years, he got four years. in reality he will be out in les than two years. she will be out in less than five!! and a little helpless child, after weeks fear!! weeks of slow agony , lays in a cold lonly grave.  what do you think?

  17. it depends how serious their crimes are. if it involves murder or anything that can hurt people, then they should stay in prison. it is not a matter of justice, but more about the safety of others.

  18. no but the problem is overcrowding and cost of keeping them in prison - i dont know what the answer is but something needs to be done - if you get life you should serve life
