  2. No, because they have an unfair advantage! After all lobbying is nothing more than a legalize form of corruption. The original intent of lobbying was for groups or individuals to be able to present their case to their elected officials. It was never intended for them to buy those elected officials as it is corruption. And if you accept the premise that money is free speech then you are saying that wealthy people or organizations have more free speech than average people. This was not the intent of the First Amendment!

Not at the same time, of course but once out of the elective job, they are especially well qualified.  If I were part of a group of people that wanted to make it known that there were a lot of people who were of like mind and you better pay attention and not follow selfish interests, I'd want the best qualified person possible representing my interests as it is near impossible to get a politician's attention unless one is organized and a part of a group.

  4. Lobbyists should be banned altogether.
