Do you think that flats support your ankle?

because when i was shopping today i went over and looked at the flats at walmart and i loved then they there were only 10.00 and my dad said they don't give off enough ankle support should i get them

No shoes give 'ankle support' , unless they are ice skates/ski boots.

Many athletic [ not all ] shoes, nursing shoes, and certain brands of shoes offer great arch support.

Maybe he meant 'arch support' - I have many flats, but I do buy the kind with arch support, or add one to the shoes.

Flip flops have absolutely none. [ except Fit Flops ].

i love flats i wear 5 times a week because of my job, and they are comfortable!

He is right, you need to find something with some arche support. Trust me, it will do you right. I'm 14 and wore flats/flip flops for a whole summer straight, and now my feet kill me and im stuck wearing sneakers to school!

when you're going walking for a long time, wear running shoes but flats are Ok if you wear them when you don't have to walk during a long time.
