  1. No. Eating too much causes obesity.

    If anything, food allergies would work *against* normal digestive processes, causing one to absorb fewer calories from one's dietary intake.

    Overeating, lack of exercise, and inappropriate food choices are the primary causes of obesity.  Secondary (very serious but infrequently occurring) causes include medical problems such as thyroid malfunction, pituitary tumors, etc.

  4. No.  Shoving c**p into your face and sitting on the couch makes you obese.

  5. No, but the foods you eat instead of the allergen could.

  6. Yes if a person is allergic to everything natural and can only eat processed, high fat content junk.

  8. Only if you over eat the food you are not allergic to...Calories in vs. calories out is what it is all about.
