Do you think that founding secret document in the trains ( LONDON/UK) twice was a deliberate act?

* It is hard to believe that, it is coincident to leave secret documents on the various trains, on different dates!

* Specially after the 1st incident, which supposed to make all government staff more careful, so the 2nd similar event took place!

** I believe that, both events were done delibrately by certain people to undermine this government, which is already undermined itself before those events!

It's always possible that someone is trying to draw attention to the Government's own lack of interest in security particularly as these breaches have coincided with the 42 days detention vote.

If so, it's wickedly irresponsible. Perhaps it's time that the Beardies in the Home Office were cleared out.

No I do not think it is a deliberate act, I think it was down right carelessness.  Good grief what were they doing taking secret documents on a flipping train for! If it needed to be transported to another office then get a taxi, but really the papers should never have left the office.

In this day and age of paperless offices, all the info should have been on computers.  Come to think of it, someone lost some confidential information discs as well on  train. To answer your question I just think this country is going to the dogs and secret or confidential information does not mean anything to the civil servants who deal with it.

I think the people who have lost them on the train should be taken to task for it, but they are civil servants and nothing will be done.  We will just wait for the next announcement about lost documents.

These papers were left by people who are charged with our security.

I cannot see that the lapses can be to undermine the present Government.

And indeed, all the Government has to do is to treat the lapses seriously; which they appear to have done.

So no, I cannot see that it would work.

This is more the idiocy of bloated self important incompetents who should not be working in any area, other than toilet cleaning (not toilets in the Government either).

They obviously took the papers home to be seen with them, so that people could witness with wonder how ''Jolly Important'' they are.

The Government is well covered by policies; in as much as the items found should not under any circumstances be taken home.

My understanding is that they were found in 'Internal Mail' envelopes.

Therefore, I feel that it must be more of an Employment question.

My feelings too are that could also lose their P45 on a train, but that wouldn't show how important they are would it.

However, what will happen is that the morons will have a nice long holiday on full pay whilst an investigation takes place, they will also be given severance pay and remain on the pensions listing to keep them quiet (after all they may know too much to be just sacked). Plenty of Newspapers would buy their memoirs.

Where-as the average ''Joe'' in private industry would be sacked out of hand.

Fishy!!! However, if these documents were so secret why have the papers been able to print anything about them but just handed them straight back without informing the public.
