Do you think that genetically modified foods will become more or less important in the future?

I think at one point they will become more important as a way to fight disease, but then due to the similarities present in them they could be wiped out if a virus came along that they had no resistance for.

The old strains of corn, beans, ect. will probably be brought back in the coming years due to the fact that a fair amount of people are allergic to the GM foods. They do not know it though since if they get sick, they think that they caught a  cold or it is something else. The govt is not required to say what is GM on packaging so they never know unless they themselves do the research.

More important. Humanity will consume more and more resources and one way the supply will be increased is genetic modification.
