Give any answer you want (yeah or nahh) but a good reason that I haven't already heard might get you 10 points.

  1. yes and no.

    it's not a fuel.

    it's an energy storage medium.

you have to make it -- that is, add the energy.

very similar to a battery in that respect.

however, per pound, it sure stores a lot of energy.

so in that respect, it's quite good.

on the other hand, storing hydrogen is fairly dangerous.

when pure hydrogen burns, there is no visible flame.

    you can't see it.

if the flame touches something else, you'll see that get black.

and, if you don't know, and don't feel the heat, wonder why.

  2. no

  3. Definitely yes.  If you haven't kept up the the latest inventions you will be left behind in this new technology.  Just go to any website to learn about it.

If you don't think hydrogen is the answer then "The World's Cleanest Car" that runs on compressed air from France is  another good reason as a practical fuel.

These two technologies is here to stay no matter what the skeptics think.

  4. Yes and no. First, more than 90% of the hydrogen that we can produce is derived from oil. To extract it fromwater is very costly at this time making it impractical. However if that were solved it is a very clean burning fuel.

  5. Yes!!  General Motors (and others I'm sure) already have hydrogen cars.  Hydrogen costs $2.00 a kilo, the tank holds 4 kilos, and can go 300 miles on a tank.  One down side though is there is no infrastructure.  Where does one buy hydrogen?  Well, GM and Shell are working on installing hydrogen pumps at their gas stations.  They're already in NYC.  Another downside is at this point in time the technology is too expensive.  But, like dvd players and LCD tv's the price will eventually drop.  Another plus is that the byproduct of hydrogen is water!!  No carbon monoxide/dioxide!!
