  1. of course not.

  2. You mean, like say, he was under investigation for fund raiser fraud

Or say perhaps his ties to a notoriously notorious real estate crook

yeah he would probably still get the nomination

Bub that is just speculation on my part

  3. Of course. Obama has been given a pass on every single problem that's come up about him. Don't you know he can do no wrong??? Associating with terrorists, belonging to an anti-American racist church for 20 years, etc. Why would that be any different?

  4. President issue vs. a VP issue? Little bit of a difference first of all - secondly Obama has been made of teflon - thanks to the media - when it comes to scandal, associations, etc. - nothing seems to stick -So to answer your question - it wouldn't make any difference as the election history of 2008 has shown.

  5. Not a chance in h**l! He wouldn't even be considered.

  6. Nope b/c he is black and there would be a double standard.

I'm not being racist, it's just the truth!

  7. I find your question curious.  The Democrats laud themselves as being the open minded, liberal, understanding and compassionate, accepting political party.  Obama is a Democrat and would run on that ticket.

If you are questioning whether the Democrats would accept Obama as their candidate then wouldn't that make them the judgemental, small minded, non-understanding, arrogant party?

And if that is so, what does that make the Republican party which has such a candidate on their ticket?  I, as a Republican, have no problem with this candidate on the basis of these problems.  I think there are other ones that would make better issues to make her an unattractive candidate.... like "one heart beat away."

  8. h**l to the no.

  9. Yes, Obama is black man. Palin is a white woman, there is your difference.

The accuser is blogger and rental car executive Andrew Halcro, a Republican-turned-Independent who lost to Palin in the 2006 governor's race.

The man in the middle is Monegan, who says Palin never told him to fire the trooper, but he felt pressure to do so from members of her administration.

Then there's trooper Mike Wooten, who used a Taser on his stepson, Palin's nephew Payton. Wooten has been reprimanded for violating nearly a dozen laws and departmental policies since December 2001.

It's now in the hands of a state-hired investigator working for a Republican-dominated legislative committee that hopes to sort out the mess.

State lawmakers have long said they understand that Monegan and other commissioners serve at will, meaning they can be fired by Palin at any time.

This investigation into Monegan's dismissal has more than its share of subplots as well. The probe into Palin's involvement if any was ordered by a Republican-dominated state legislative council that includes one of the lawmakers under a federal bribery indictment. And Branchflower, the investigator, is a former Anchorage prosecutor whose wife used to work for Monegan at the Anchorage Police Department.

  10. I just Posted a similar question.. Nope..They would drag him through the mud.

  11. If the media had done their job and asked ANY appropriate questions about Barack Obama at all, he would not be the nominee.

He wouldn't have been taken seriously.

    Geraldine Ferraro was right.

  12. Giuliani was leading in early polls until personal issues created a breach between him and the conservative base. I think if the same personal issues had been a factor with McCain he would have had as hard a time finding such a strong base.

  13. Nope!

  14. If Obama's daughter was pregnant she would be wisked away and given an abortion without question and there would be no problem.

  15. NO - if this were happening to the Obama family people would be calling for him to drop out the race......DOUBLE STANDARDS!

  16. The question is misleading. If the only issue were a pregnant daughter, in my opinion, it would make no difference whatsoever. Many Americans either have a daughter that has had an unplanned pregnancy, or has one now, or know of friends who have one. The second part of the question "and was under investigation" would depend greatly on what were the charges against him.  Seriously, I am an independent who only wants what is best for our country. I'm sure you know that both sides have their "attack dogs" who are sent out there to inflame the public with half-truths, smears, deflect the public's thought from logical thinking to emotional response, and pose arguments based on false premises.  I have no intention of getting sidetracked by these media hacks. I'll look at such factors as each candidate's past accomplishments, new ideas that are actually workable that won't bankrupt the nation, their tax plans and proposals for health care for those who can't afford it (such as my son and his family) improving the public educational standards ( by the way, check out where the U.S. stands in comparison to other industrialized nations) as well as other issues. The Congress has been a disaster. The only thing that they seem to be able agree upon and do is spend our money.  With really important issues facing all of us, why is so much time being spent discussing Palin's daughter's pregnancy or Obama's number of days in the senate or his former relationships? I have to admit that I was disappointed that Obama turned down McCain's offer to have some "town meetings". That would've helped. Doing research and sorting out the facts takes time and effort. I can't wait for the debates. Those should clear up a number of issues.

  17. No he would not be considered. And there definitely would not be any stories about his "poor daughter" or "everyone should leave this child alone". They'd call her all types of names.

  18. On no. What's good for the right is not good for the left. Obama would be accused of not being able to lead his family if something like this happened.

Honestly, what was Mrs. Palin doing during her daughter's formative years? Obviously not being a supportive and available parent.  She was too busy with her own political and business agendas.  But that kind of logic would only be used if she were a liberal.

The right can dish it out, but they can't take it. The cries about invading her family's privacy with talk about her daughter are totally insane. She is the one putting her kids in every photo op, and captolizing on her "family" image.
