we would have wouldn't be focusing on hybrids or fuel efficent cars or saving the earth? I've always wondered that. Because if we didn't start trying to make a diffrence wouldn't you think it would be too late when eventually we thought of it?

  1. Demand from the marketplace for fuel efficiency would lead to the same developments as the price rose anyway.

The market is always more efficient than policy.

  2. I think more and more people are concerned about driving fuel efficient cars and trucks now that gas has been getting so expensive.  Although doing good and cleaning up the environment is enough to motivate some people, most are motivated by their pocketbooks.  So in that respect, the rise in gas prices is a good thing because it is leading to faster development of alternative energy, and that's good for all of us in the long run!

  3. Omg I know, now im a environmentalist, and really work to protect the environment and get others too, but seriously people should open their eyes and loook around, I dont see a mass of perfection, but when they look out their window, they say, "What a marvalous day"

Soon, and real soon, when they open their eyes and see what we "environmentalists" see, they'll be looking up from under a flooded window, or  under a mass of rubble, or in their hospital bed due to the O-zone, causing more common skin cancer, due to the intense heat!

We need to focus more on the well being of this planet, the trees, the o-zone, Antarctica....That part of the world is history!! Left over perma frost from LONG ago! and we are just letting it melt away!!!!!!

Sorry, but I really agree! People need to shape up, and By the way things look now, i dont think alot of people are ever gonna get it....  :(

    Thanks...
